  • Patent number: 11731662
Abstract: A system may receive point cloud data that includes one or more data points associated with an object that was detected by sensors of an autonomous vehicle. The system may identify a subset of the point cloud data having data points that are associated with a likelihood of a pedestrian entering a scene with the object, determine a current probability value using a logistic function that is associated with the subset of the point cloud data, determine, based at least in part on the current probability value, a probability value representing a likelihood of the pedestrian actually being present for the subset of the point cloud data, determine whether the probability value exceeds a false alarm threshold value, and in response to the probability value exceeding the false alarm threshold value, assign data points of the subset an attribute value indicative of the pedestrian being present.

  • Publication number: 20230260836
Abstract: A method includes forming a dielectric layer over a source/drain region. An opening is formed in the dielectric layer. The opening exposes a portion of the source/drain region. A conductive liner is formed on sidewalls and a bottom of the opening. A surface modification process is performed on an exposed surface of the conductive liner. The surface modification process forms a surface coating layer over the conductive liner. The surface coating layer is removed to expose the conductive liner. The conductive liner is removed from the sidewalls of the opening. The opening is filled with a conductive material in a bottom-up manner. The conductive material is in physical contact with a remaining portion of the conductive liner and the dielectric layer.

  • Publication number: 20230248397
Abstract: Implants with grip grooves are disclosed herein. In some embodiments, an implant includes a rod-receiving recess defining a rod axis where an inner surface of the rod-receiving recess defines two grip grooves extending parallel to each other and the rod axis. Each grip groove defines two edges where the grip groove intersects the inner surface, the four edges of the two grip grooves together defining a circular radius about the rod axis. The implant includes a retaining member configured to move with respect to the body to apply a force against a rod that is perpendicular to the rod axis, the force engaging the rod against the four edges of the grip grooves, where the engagement of the four edges of the grip grooves against the rod restrains rotational movement of the rod about the rod axis.

  • Patent number: 11717327
Abstract: Bone anchor assemblies are disclosed herein that can provide for improved fixation as compared with traditional bone anchor assemblies. An exemplary assembly can include a bracket or wing that extends down from the receiver member. The distal portion of the wing can define a bone anchor opening through which one or more auxiliary bone anchors can be disposed to augment the fixation of the assembly's primary bone anchor. A distal surface of the distal portion of the wing can be obliquely angled relative to a proximal-distal axis of the spanning portion to face one of a caudal direction or a cephalad direction. A distal surface of the distal portion of the wing can be obliquely angled relative to the proximal-distal axis of the spanning portion to face one of a medial direction or a lateral direction. Surgical methods using the bone anchor assemblies described herein are also disclosed.

  • Publication number: 20230245163
Abstract: The technology described herein determines a clout value for a creator of a digital collectible, determines a popularity value of the digital collectible, and aggregates the clout value and the popularity value into an aggregated value for the digital collectible, normalizes the aggregated value and assigns the normalized aggregated value as an assessed value for the digital collectible. The digital collectible may then be converted into a non-fungible token (NFT) having the assessed value.

  • Patent number: 11707304
Abstract: Articulating implant connectors and related methods are disclosed herein. Exemplary connectors can include first and second bodies that are rotatable relative to one another about a rotation axis and selectively lockable to resist or prevent such rotation. Each of the bodies can be configured to couple to a rod or other fixation component, and the connector can be used to lock first and second rods together even when the rods are obliquely angled with respect to one another.

  • Publication number: 20230225137
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for efficient fabrication of memory structures are described. A multi-deck memory device may be fabricated using a sequence of fabrication steps that include depositing a first metal layer, depositing a cell layer on the first metal layer to form memory cells of the first memory deck, and depositing a second metal layer on the cell layer. The second metal layer may be deposited using a single deposition process rather than using multiple deposition processes. A second memory deck may be formed on the second metal layer such that stacked memory cells from the first and second deck share the use of the second metal layer. Using a single deposition process for the second metal layer may decrease the quantity of fabrication steps used to fabricate the multi-deck memory array and reduce or eliminate the exposure of the cell material to metal etchants.

  • Patent number: 11695135
Abstract: Methods and systems are described for optimizing water discharge in fuel cell vehicles. The system includes a fuel cell stack, a blower for purging water from the fuel cell stack and a controller. The controller detects that an ambient temperature satisfies a threshold temperature. The controller determines the fuel cell vehicle is approaching a stopping location. The controller calculates a water discharge time prediction necessary to purge excess water from the fuel cell stack while the fuel cell vehicle is operating in response to detecting that the ambient temperature satisfies the threshold temperature and the fuel cell vehicle is approaching the stopping location. The water discharge time prediction is calculated based on the blower operating while the fuel cell stack is in at least one of an idle state and a stopped state as the fuel cell vehicle approaches the stopping location.

  • Publication number: 20230197883
Abstract: A method for achieving voltage-controlled gate-modulated light emission using monolithic integration of fin- and nanowire-n-i-n vertical FETs with bottom-tunnel junction planar InGaN LEDs is described. This method takes advantage of the improved performance of bottom-tunnel junction LEDs over their top-tunnel junction counterparts, while allowing for strong gate control on a low-cross-sectional area fin or wire without sacrificing LED active area as in lateral integration designs. Electrical modulation of 5 orders, and an order of magnitude of optical modulation are achieved in the device.
