    Abstract: The present invention has been made in an effort to provide a hollow drive shaft and a method for manufacturing the same in which the concentrated load to a weak point which may be occurred by differences of sectional thicknesses and outer diameters is dispersed so that the strength may be uniform throughout the whole length. A hollow drive shaft includes: one or more small-diameter portion having a hollow shape; and a large-diameter portion which is disposed in the vicinity of the small-diameter portion and has an outer diameter relatively greater than the small-diameter portion. A sectional thickness of the large-diameter portion is less than a sectional thickness of the small-diameter portion, and a first sectional portion from an outer surface to a point corresponding to 35% to 60% of a sectional thickness of the large-diameter portion is carburized to have a first hardness.

    Abstract: A non-homogeneous copper-nickel composite and a method for synthesizing the same are disclosed. The non-homogeneous copper-nickel composite includes a higher amount of nickel in a surface portion of the composite than in a center portion thereof. The non-homogeneous copper-nickel composite exhibits sufficient oxidation resistance to prevent deterioration in electrical conductivity thereof due to an oxide layer formed on surfaces of particles during sintering while exhibiting a similar level of electrical conductivity to silver particles. In addition, the non-homogeneous copper-nickel composite can exhibit high adhesion to a coating metal layer.

    Abstract: Disclosed are an electrode for electrolytic plating and an electrolytic plating apparatus including the same. A contact area between a surface of an object to be plated and an electrode can be minimized using an electrode for electrolytic plating having a non-conductive pattern partially formed thereon. Generation of a metal composite having multiple cores due to simultaneous contact between plural objects to be plated and the conductive region being not covered with non-conductive pattern can be prevented. Since the surface of the object to be plated can be coated with different kinds of metals before galvanic corrosion occurs, a metal composite having a core-shell structure can have improved reliability, quality and stability. Various different kinds of metals can be coated onto the surface of the object to be plated without limitation as the object to be plated.

The image processing apparatus includes an edge creation unit, a Hough transform unit, and an effective parameter detection unit. The edge creation unit creates an edge image using external image data input from the outside. The Hough transform unit performs a Hough transform on information about the pixel coordinates of the edge image created by the edge creation unit. The effective parameter detection unit detects the lines of the edge image by checking effective line parameters using the results of the Hough transform. The image processing apparatus may further include an edge list for storing coordinates of effective pixels constituting the edge image and a line parameter list for storing the effective line parameters.
