  • Patent number: 4369241
Abstract: In forming a fluorescent screen of a black matrix type color picture tube, a light absorptive film is first formed on the inner surface of a face plate of the color picture tube. Formed on the light absorptive film is a light-hardenable photosensitive resin film which in turn is exposed to light through a shadow mask at portions corresponding to phosphor applying portions. The unexposed portion of the light-hardenable photosensitive film is then developed. Finally, the exposed portion of the light-hardenable photosensitive film and portion of the light absorptive film therebeneath are removed to partly perforate the light absorptive film so that in the light absorptive film, openings are formed into which the phosphor is applied.

  • Patent number: 4352878
Abstract: When a low molecular weight dihydric or trihydric alcohol is added to a photoresist composition comprising a water-soluble polymer substance and a diazide photo-crosslinking agent, the fluidity of the composition is improved and the drying speed is moderately retarded and it enables the formation of a photoresist layer having a uniform film thickness and uniform drying degree. The said alcohol is exemplified by ethylene glycol, glycerol, etc. and is preferably added in an amount of 5-300 parts by weight per 100 parts by weight of the water-soluble polymer substance.
    Type: Grant

  • Patent number: 4332874
Abstract: Disclosed are a photosensitive composition comprising a copolymer comprising acrylamide, diacetone-acrylamide and a sulfonated vinyl monomer, such as sodium p-styrenesulfonate, and a water-soluble aromatic bisazide compound, and a pattern-forming method using this photosensitive composition. This photosensitive composition has a reciprocity law failure, and when this photosensitive composition is used, the development after light exposure is completed in a short time.

  • Patent number: 4331752
Abstract: In a method of forming a fluorescent screen of a color picture tube by a dry process, the method comprises a first step of precoating an emulsion containing a powder of acryl resin on an inner surface of a face plate of the color picture tube to form a primary coating, a second step of coating on the primary coating a photosensitive composition consisting essentially of a diazonium salt to form a thin film, a third step of exposing to light a selected portion of the thin film to render the same to become adhesive, a fourth step of depositing a powder of a phosphor on the selected portion to form a phosphor layer of a first color and a fifth step of repeating the third and fourth steps to form phosphor layers of second and third colors.
    Type: Grant

  • Patent number: 4318971
Abstract: The photosensitive resin which exhibits stickiness by photo-reaction is added with a binder which does not substantially raise dark reaction, and a resultant mixture is applied onto the inner surface of face panel of the color picture tube to form a film. Portion of the film where powdery material is going to be applied is exposed to light and rendered sticky. Phosphor powder, when used as the powdery material, is applied to the sticky portion and adhered thereto to form a fluorescent screen.

  • Patent number: 4099973
Abstract: When a water-soluble alcohol having 4 to 6 hydroxyl groups is added to a photosensitive composition comprising a water-soluble polymer substance and a bisazide crosslinking agent, the polymer crosslinking reaction by said bisazide crosslinking agent is promoted and a polymer crosslinkage enough to form an image is produced even at a low exposure dose of ultraviolet ray. Thus, the photosensitive composition is highly sensitized as compared with prior art photosensitive compositions. The alcohol is exemplified by erythritol, pentitol, etc. and is preferably added in an amount of 1 - 100 parts by weight per 100 parts by weight of the water-soluble polymer substance.

  • Patent number: 4019905
Abstract: A filter layer for intercepting the undesired light passage is interleaved between the panel of a color cathode ray tube and the photosensitive phosphor coating, the photosensitive phosphor coating is backwardly exposed through the filter layer to actinic radiation of the back exposure to form phosphor elements with good adhesion and position.
