  • Patent number: 7231838
Abstract: An indicating instrument includes a stepping motor, a speed-reducing gear mechanism, an indicating needle, a stopper mechanism and an initializing unit. A position which the indicating needle indicates when turned by a preset angle relative to a position which the indicating needle indicates when turning of the indicating needle is mechanically stopped with the stopper mechanism is taken as a graduation-starting position. The initializing unit is to drive the stepping motor to turn the indicating needle toward the indicating needle-stopped position; after stoppage of the turning of the needle, to drive the stepping motor to turn the needle away from the needle-stopped place where the turning of the needle is mechanically stopped with the stopper mechanism, thereby to turn the needle beyond the graduation-starting position, and thereafter to drive the stepping motor to turn the needle toward the stopper mechanism; and to return the needle to the graduation-starting position and stop the needle there.

  • Patent number: 6835337
Abstract: In the filling step, the forward movement speed of the screw is controlled in accordance with a predetermined speed pattern until the screw reaches a deceleration initiation point, LS4B. After the screw reaches LS4B, a deceleration step is started. In the deceleration step, the forward movement speed of the screw is controlled in a feedback manner such that the internal pressure of the mold reaches a predetermined target pressure. When the screw reaches a pressure holding initiation point, LS4 (or pressure holding initiation time, TR2), the pressure holding step is started. In the pressure holding step, the target pressure, which is a function of time, is changed with time in accordance with a program. When the operation goes to the pressure holding step, the set of PID coefficients within the feedback control loop are replaced by different set of PID coefficients.

  • Patent number: 6801831
Abstract: In an injection molding machine utilizing a setting method of the present invention, there is substantially no limitation in the numbers of steps of an injection speed and a holding pressure, and in addition to rectangle, slope, polygonal line and flat, an arc can be designated as a shape mode. Because of using codes to define the shape mode, the setting operation becomes easy. In order to form one injection speed control pattern, a mix of shape modes may be utilized. Also, in the present setting method, a plurality of code data predeterminedly defined are input sequentially in time, thereby setting the injection speed control pattern or pressure holding control pattern. The code defines a kind of function which figures out an injection speed command data or a holding pressure command data corresponding to each stroke position or time.

  • Patent number: 6616871
Abstract: A filling step control method of an injection molding machine for filling a molten resin into a die cavity is provided. The control method has the steps of: sampling in initiating the filling step for filling the molten resin into the die cavity by controlling an injection speed and, thereafter, by controlling a filling pressure while not exceeding a predetermined value; storing the injection speed over an entire filling process when a quality product can be stably obtained during the sampling step into a storage medium as a reference waveform; and after storing the reference waveform, molding for filling the molten resin into the die cavity by controlling the injection speed to follow the reference waveform over the entire filling step.
