    Abstract: In order to suppress freezing of a water content within a breather tube, a heater (13) is arranged within a breather tube (11) joining a cylinder head cover (10) and an air cleaner (8). A main body of the breather tube (11) is constituted by a joint tube (18) arranged in a middle, and partial tubes (22, 23) connected to both ends thereof. The heater (13) has a heating element (14) corresponding to a heating element, and has a heater case (21) accommodating the heating element (14) in a state of being pinched by electrodes (15), and is arranged in a center portion of the joint 18. A slot (18a) for inserting the heater (13) is formed in the joint tube 18. A heat radiating body (20) extended along the breather tube (11) is joined to the heater case (21). An outer peripheral portion of the breather tube (11) is covered by an insulative outer tube (24).

    Abstract: An output voltage regulator for an engine-driven generator that can satisfactory suppress fluctuation in output voltage, even when an output waveform of the generator is distorted. An engine revolution period that represents a period of output voltage is detected by use of an ignition signal. Data that represents an output waveform is obtained by squaring and adding up an instantaneous value of the output voltage for one period of engine revolution. Furthermore, a square root of the data is extracted as an effective value. An operation duty of a transistor Q1 provided in an output circuit of an excitation winding L2 that supplies a field current “if” is determined based on a difference between the effective value and a target voltage. The field current “if” changes according to the difference, and the output voltage is thereby regulated according to a load.

    Abstract: An object of the present invention is to form suitable spherical convex lens on the surfaces of spherical or granular photovoltaic devices in an easy and cost-effective method even when the photovoltaic devices have variations in the size and shape. To achieve the object, the invention is a method in which are carried out immersing the photovoltaic device in a liquid resin and lifting the photovoltaic device, thereby causing the liquid resin to adhere to the surface of the photovoltaic device, and hardening the liquid resin adherent to the surface of the photovoltaic device, thereby forming a resin lens on the surface of the photovoltaic device. Since a spherical convex lens is formed on the surface of the photovoltaic device by surface tension of the resin liquid, a suitable spherical convex lens can be formed on the surface of the photovoltaic device and the photovoltaic device can be positioned at the center of the lens even when the photovoltaic devices have variations in the size and shape.
