  • Publication number: 20090263104
Abstract: Time information for restoring the playback rate is affixed to a plurality of packets included in a stream. A predetermined number of such packets are stored in advance in a buffer memory 9. A packet arrival time detection section 5 detects the input time of a reference-time packet (packet having arrived first at the start of stream playback). A time correction section 7 loads the input time of the reference-time packet into a time counter ?after a lapse of a predetermined time. A comparison section 8 compares the time information of each packet stored in the buffer memory 9 with the time measured from the loaded input time in the time counter 6 and, if the two values agree, outputs the packet in question to a packet processing section 12. Thus, even under circumstances causing fluctuations in the transfer time of a stream from the recording medium and the like, underflow in rate reproduction of the stream is less prone to occur.

  • Publication number: 20070102134
Abstract: In continuous casting of steel, the invention is able to accurately detect a crater end only from a value measured by a sensor without needing calibration based on the slab rivet method, etc. An ultrasonic shear wave sensor 6, 8 for transmitting an ultrasonic shear wave to a cast product 1 and receiving it and an ultrasonic longitudinal wave sensor 7, 9 for transmitting an ultrasonic longitudinal wave to the cast product and receiving it are installed at the same position in a continuous casting machine or at two positions apart in a casting direction but at the same position in a transverse direction of the cast product. From variations of an ultrasonic signal received by the ultrasonic shear wave sensor, it is detected that a crater end 4 of the cast product is matched with the installed position of the ultrasonic shear wave sensor.

  • Publication number: 20050004901
Abstract: A first memory stores in advance, in an address assigned to each of possible values that each of the plurality of data segments can have, reference data which indicates that the possible value is consistent with the detection condition (“consistency”) or reference data which indicates that the possible value is inconsistent with the detection condition (“inconsistency”) based on the detection condition. A data extraction section sequentially extracts a data segment from the input data to supply an address corresponding to a value of the extracted data segment to the first memory. The first memory outputs reference data stored in the address supplied from the data extraction section. A determination section determines whether or not the input data is consistent with the detection condition based on the reference data output from the first memory.
