    Abstract: Provided is a tear lipid layer stabilizer that is capable of stabilizing a tear lipid layer and allowing the tear lipid layer to sufficiently spread over a corneal surface, to thereby prevent the evaporation of a tear aqueous layer on the corneal surface, and hence is suitable for amelioration, alleviation, or treatment of evaporative dry eye symptoms caused by Meibomian gland dysfunction, an ophthalmic solution having blended therein the tear lipid layer stabilizer, and a tear lipid layer-stabilizing method using the tear lipid layer stabilizer.
