  • Publication number: 20090214059
Abstract: Once a mixer is set in a predetermined operation, an input-logical-channel selecting section supplies sound signals, input via a cascade input terminal, to an input signal processing section via an input patch section, so that the sound signals can be mixing-processed as sound signals of normal input channels. At the same time, a portion of sound signals input via an input terminal are supplied to mixing buses, so that these sound signals can be handled as cascade-related signals. In accordance with a model of another, or cascaded-to, mixer, arrangements are made such that normal-input/output-channel input terminals can be assigned to cascade input/output purposes. With a block diagram display section indicating what signals the individual input/output terminals are currently assigned to within the mixer, a user can grasp at a glance the current assignment state.

  • Patent number: 7565212
Abstract: A configuration method is performed for controlling an audio apparatus having a main block configurable for processing audio signals such as modifying and mixing of the audio signals, and peripheral units of various types being equipped with components of various types and being connectable to the main block for inputting the audio signals to be processed and outputting the audio signals processed by the main block. A first detection step is carried out for detecting when a new peripheral unit is connected to the main block. A second detection step is carried out for detecting a type of the new peripheral unit. An inquiry step is conducted for inquiring the new peripheral unit upon detection thereof about a type of a component equipped in the new peripheral unit and obtaining a reply indicating the type from the new peripheral unit. Thus, the main block can be configured according to the detected type of the new peripheral unit and the type of the component thereof indicated by the reply.

  • Publication number: 20090099672
Abstract: In a channel patching apparatus, an output patch setting part assigns a name to an audio signal of an internal channel of an audio device, which outputs the audio signal to a transmission channel of an audio network. A transmission channel allocation setting part allocates a transmission channel of the audio network to the audio signal assigned the name, and performs setting of the audio device such that the audio signal assigned the name is output from an internal channel associated with the audio signal assigned the name to the allocated transmission channel.

  • Publication number: 20090028359
Abstract: A digital mixer is capable of assigning a desired parameter to an encoder provided in a channel strip on a panel of the digital mixer. The digital mixer assigns a parameter, which corresponds to one of knob controls having switches operable to be turned on, to each encoder provided in a channel strip section on the panel in response to the operation of the switch of the one knob control provided in a selected channel section. The knob controls with the switches are not graphic symbols displayed on a display screen, but are physically disposed on the panel. Accordingly, it is possible to assign a desired parameter to an encoder with no mistake by operating a desired knob control with a switch to be turned on without a mistake.

  • Patent number: 7436971
Abstract: One or more input channels are selected from among a plurality of input channels, and signals of the selected one or more input channels are mixed into a first output channel. A particular input channel to be excluded from the plurality of input channels is set as desired. Then, a setting is made such that the signals of the selected one or more input channels, having the signal of particular input channel excluded therefrom, are mixed into a second output channel. To the first output channel are set such signal paths as to allow mixing of all the signals of the selected one or more input channels. To the second output channel are set such signal paths as to allow mixing of the signals of the selected one or more input channels with the signal of the particular input channel excluded thereform.

  • Publication number: 20080222524
Abstract: When controllers #1, #2 manipulate a parameter of a DSP #2, the controllers #1, #2 display an operator and a comment relating the parameter on a control screen. Text data indicative of the comment is stored in the DSP #2. When the controllers #1, #2 render the control screen, the controllers #1, #2 read out, from the DSP #2, the text data indicative of the comment which is to be added to the operator, and then display the comment on a display portion. As a result, the respective controllers #1, #2 are allowed to read out the text data stored in the DSP #2 to display the same comment on an operating screen, respectively, being able to share comments among the controllers #1, #2.

  • Publication number: 20070067055
Abstract: In a digital audio mixer, a link group assigner assigns one or a plurality of link groups exclusively to channels of the digital audio mixer. An operating data setter sets a value of an operating data element for each of concerned channels to the same value when the operating data element is placed in a link state and when the same link group is assigned to the concerned channels. An operating data changer operates when a value of an operating data element of one channel is changed to a specific value and when the operating data element is placed in the link state, for changing a value of a corresponding operating data element of another channel belonging to the same link group as the one channel to the specific value. An image data output unit displays a screen containing graphic symbols representing the respective channels.
