    Abstract: An inverter circuit includes fast transistors for PWM and slow switching thyristors for a fundamental frequency. The inverter circuit further includes a rectifying circuit for rectifying an input AC power and a bridge circuit. The bridge circuit includes a plurality of bridge circuit arms, each of the bridge circuit arms constituted by connecting a collector terminal of a transistor to a cathode terminal of a thyristor. An emitter of the transistor is connected to a negative side of the rectified output of the rectifying circuit, and an anode of the thyristor is connected to a positive side of the rectified output of the rectifying circuit.

The operation of the facsimile apparatus is controlled by a control device which is adapted to cause the transmission device to transmit the picture information stored in the memory when the trailing end of a preceding original sheet or a leading end of a succeeding original sheet is detected by the detecting device during reading and transmission of information from a plurality of successive original sheets, while allowing transmission of information carried by a plurality of successive separate original sheets as a batch of information carried by a single continuous sheet.

    Abstract: A roll bending apparatus for use in a multi-stage rolling mill adapted for rolling a hard material or a thin sheet material with a high uniformity of thickness along the breadth, with a high degree of accuracy and low energy. The amount of bend of the small-diameter work roll is controlled by the roll bending apparatus for attaining the high degree of uniformity of thickness along the breadth of the rolled material. The roll bending apparatus has, for each of said work rolls, a supporting member having a work roll supporting portion for rotatably supporting the work roll and rockable vertically about a fulcrum, and a bending force generating means adapted for engaging the supporting member so as to cause a rocking motion of the supporting member thereby applying a substantially vertical roll bending force to the work roll through the supporting member.

    Abstract: An automatic starter for a vehicle equipped with an automatic transmission with which excessively abrupt starting of the engine of the vehicle is inhibited. The automatic starter includes an accelerator pedal having first and second accelerator pedal members. The first accelerator pedal member is attached to the second accelerator pedal member through a returning elastic member so as to be biased apart. A rod extends downwardly from the second accelerator pedal member through the first accelerator pedal member with the lower end of the rod forming the operating element of a solenoid. The two accelerator pedal members carry contacts which are closed when the second accelerator pedal member is depressed downwardly against the first accelerator pedal member. Upon the starting of the vehicle, the solenoid is energized to hold the two accelerator pedal members together.
