  • Patent number: 7453941
Abstract: An encoding method, which achieves encoding efficiency, and good picture quality encoding even when there exists a picture in which a scene change occurs within an interlaced frame, is provided. A moving pictures encoding method treats a frame of interlaced image input signals as a picture, and performs prediction and encoding for this picture in macro-block units from a picture of both a forward picture, which is temporally in the past, and a backward picture, which is in the future.

  • Patent number: 7156743
Abstract: An inexpensive mechanical fuse having a high fatigue limit ratio and high rupture reliability, and superior in forming performance, and a method of manufacturing the same are presented. The mechanical fuse is composed of Fe-based sintered alloy, and comprises an inner rim 2 fixed to one power transmission shaft, an outer rim 3 fixed to the other power transmission shaft, and plural arms 4 for linking the inner rim 2 and outer rim 3, which are formed integrally. The arms 4 include rupture portions 6 which are ruptured when exposed to an overload torque. By treating in steam, an iron oxide phase is formed in the surface layer and pore inner wall. The iron oxide phase is effective to form round pores and lower the notch sensitivity. As a result, the fatigue strength and fatigue limit ratio are enhanced.

  • Publication number: 20060039453
Abstract: A synchronous follow-up circuit carries out correlation operation with a spread code on a receive signal, generated from a received signal in a symbol timing generator, by three symbol correlators, one for shifting the phase forward with respect to a symbol timing signal, another for synchronizing with the same and remaining one for shifting the same backward. Correlation power operators calculate respective correlation powers, and a correlation power comparator compares them with each other. The symbol timing generator adjusts the receive signal in phase on the basis of the comparison result. On the basis of the result of determining the correlation power in a correlation power decision circuit, the correlation powers are nullified, thereby preventing out-of-synchronization otherwise caused by a received signal including noise.

  • Publication number: 20060033533
Abstract: A main circuit includes a first logic circuit behaving as a critical path and a second logic circuit operating comparatively fast. The second logic circuit is fed with a first supply voltage. The first logic circuit is usually fed with a second supply voltage to ensure normal operation of the main circuit. When a clock feed circuit is not feeding a clock, or when an input signal from a signal source remains at a fixed potential, the supply voltage to the first logic circuit is lowered to the first supply voltage.

  • Publication number: 20040261663
Abstract: The invention provides a transparent and tenacious coating film using an inorganic paint composition prepared by adding a borate salt into an alkali metal silicate, and further mixing thereto lepidoblastic transparent silica with a thickness of 0.01 to 0.5 &mgr;m and a surface diameter of 2 to 5 &mgr;m. The alkali metal silicate is solidified with metal ions issued from the borate salt to form a coating film, which contains a glass formed by solidifying dissolved boric acid in the coating film. The coating film can be made tenacious without impairing transparency by dispersing many flakes of transparent silica as laminated layers.

  • Patent number: 6676793
Abstract: The present invention provides a method for manufacturing laminated material which can remove ear portions of a resin film extruded from an extruding machine and can directly laminate the resin film to a substrate and can make the processing of end portions of a laminated material after lamination unnecessary. The present invention also provides an apparatus used for such a manufacturing method. In the method for manufacturing laminated material which laminates a resin film formed by extruding molten thermoplastic resin from a T-die to a substrate, a laminating film is formed by cutting ear portions of the resin film before lamination and the laminating film is laminated to the substrate.
