  • Publication number: 20060219588
Abstract: A toolbox with a socket-retaining structure has two half-bodies having inner surfaces, at least one elongated recess defined in the inner surface, a pivotal rod transversally attached inside the elongated recess, and multiple connecting blocks pivotally and slidably mounted on the pivotal rod. Each connecting block has an insertion end that is adapted to engage with a socket so that the socket is connected to the toolbox. By using the pivotal rod and pivoting the multiple connecting blocks on the pivotal rod, sockets can be mounted on the toolbox inside the elongated recess. Moreover, the sockets can be conveniently detached from the socket-retaining structure.

  • Patent number: 7089829
Abstract: A multi-functional ratchet wrench has a wrench body, a ratchet, a pawl, a trigger, a lug connector and a socket connector. The wrench body has a head in which the ratchet is rotatably mounted and the pawl control the direction of rotation when moved by the trigger connected to the pawl. The lug connector is formed on one side of the ratchet, and the socket connector formed on the opposite side of the ratchet. The socket connector comprises a connecting tube, an outer collar and a latching device. The connecting tube selectively holds a tool bit. The outer collar is mounted slidably on the connecting tube. The latching device is clamped between the connecting tube and the outer collar to cause the outer collar to stay in position to hold the tool bit in the connecting tube. Thereby, the ratchet wrench can selectively use different tool bits.

  • Publication number: 20060108246
Abstract: A compact toolbox has a case and multiple containers. The case has an outer case and an inner case. The inner case is attached pivotally to the outer case. The outer case has a rear housing and a front housing. The rear housing is attached pivotally to the front housing. The containers are mounted in the case, are attached pivotally to the case and have multiple bit holes. The bit holes are different sizes. Drill bits are stowed in the bit holes. By pivoting the case and the containers, the case and the containers are stacked for storage. Therefore the compact toolbox not only occupies a small volume but also can organize and stow many different sized drill bits.

  • Patent number: 6971517
Abstract: An attache style toolbox with an outer frame includes two hollow half bodies (10) to hold multiple tools and an outer frame (20) to hold the two half bodies (10). Each half body (10) has multiple strips (12) formed on an outer periphery of the half body (10) and multiple through holes (147) defined inside the half body (10). The outer frame (20) is composed of two shells (22), and each shell (22) accommodates one half body (10) and has two strip recesses (224) mating with the strip (12) on the half body (10). Each shell (22) further has multiple retaining posts (29) extending inward to respectively engage the multiple through holes (147) and be held together by threaded rods. Therefore, the outer frame (20) is firmly combined with the two half bodies (10) to provide protection and attractiveness to the attache style toolbox.

  • Publication number: 20050241974
Abstract: A tool bit cartridge for storing tool bits has a housing (10) and a bin (20) pivotally mounted inside the housing (10) by two pivot pins (26) with nubs and two pivot holes (12) with detents. The bin (20) has multiple compartments (22) to individually store the tool bits to keep the tool bits in order. The pivot pins (26) having multiple nubs and holes (12) with detents can hold the bin (20) steady at a desired angle. Thereby, the bin (20) are be selectively tilted by pulling the bin (20) outward to allow tool bits to be removed conveniently from the housing (10).

  • Publication number: 20050211587
Abstract: A tool bracket for storing tool bits has a base (10) and a rack (20) pivotally mounted inside the base (10) by two pivot pins (26) with nubs and two pivot holes (12) with detents. The rack (20) has multiple compartments (22) to individually store the tool bits to keep the tool bits in order. The base (10) further has multiple positioning devices to insert into the rack (20) to hold the tool bits when the rack (20) is pivoted completely inside the base (10). Additionally, the pivot pins (26) and holes (12) can hold the rack (20) steady at a desired angle. Thereby, the rack (20) can be tilted by pulling the rack (20) outward to release and conveniently remove tool bits from the base (10).

  • Publication number: 20050029139
Abstract: A tool case has a body, at least one baffle and a positioning device. The body has a recess with a bottom and multiple cavities defined in the bottom of the recess to hold tools. The at least one baffle is pivotally attached to the body with a pivot pin, is selectively received in the recess and covers the cavities in the body. The positioning device is mounted in the inner surface of the cavity to hold the at least one baffle closed relative to the body. Accordingly, the tools can be held in the cavities by the at least one baffle, and forming a positioning device in each cavity is unnecessary. Consequently, removing the tools from the cavities is easy and convenient.
