  • Publication number: 20150260252
Abstract: The current invention is an improved magnetic vibration isolation mount and method that can provide a passive and active reduction in the actual and felt vibration transfer from one object to another. The vibration isolation mount is comprised of a mounting means for a first member, a mounting means for a second member, and a rod and magnetic field apparatus between the two mounts and members. The invention can also be seen as a method for the control of vibration transmission from a first member to a second member via either passive or active means.

  • Patent number: 9080886
Abstract: UMAPS is a multifaceted system that can be robot-mounted, human-worn, or canine carried. UMAPS produces real-time, 3D mapping and localization for the user as they move throughout a GPS-denied environment (e.g. buildings, caves, or tunnels). An Operator Control Unit (OCU) displays information collected by UMAPS; 2D floorplans; 3D textured-enriched surfaces of the structure's interior; and the location of the users within that structure. UMAPS has an open architecture that allows it to function with any OCU. UMAPS has three distinct subsystems: obstacle maps for robot mobility, mapping, and positioning.

  • Patent number: 8096842
Abstract: A connector assembly is provided for connecting two planar surfaces or structures together to permit electrical transmission between the two. As described, the connector have at least two housing sections having grooves formed therein for receiving springs, such as canted coil springs. The springs are configured to provide constant mechanical and electrical connection between multiple parts and allow for small motions between such parts. By allowing for movement of the connected parts, adequate connection during thermal changes and/or vibrations is maintained. This is possible due to the spring contact interface between the connector assembly and the connecting parts, which allows relative movement between the springs and the connecting parts.

  • Publication number: 20110246357
Abstract: A method and a system of a chargeback response tool. A chargeback response tool receives chargeback data from a financial vendor and automatically retrieves chargeback dispute evidence relating to the parties involved in the chargeback and about the original transaction from a transaction system that facilitated the original transaction. The chargeback response tool organizes and presents chargeback dispute evidence. The chargeback response tool may also analyze the performance and effectiveness of agents using the tool and of various approaches of disputing chargebacks.
