Abstract: In one embodiment, a method and apparatus for resolving domain name system queries using unique top-level domains in a private network space are disclosed. For example, the method determines that a domain name service query specifies a destination residing in a private network space rather than in a public Internet space. The method then routes the domain name service query to a top-level domain name service server associated with the private network space, without routing the domain name service query to a root domain name service server in the public Internet space. The top-level domain name system server resides in the highest level of a hierarchy of domain name system servers belonging to the private network space.

Abstract: Concepts and technologies are disclosed herein for providing and using an accessory setting service. Accessory data can be received from a computing device in communication with an accessory. The accessory data can include a unique identifier associated with the accessory. Based upon the unique identifier, a determination can be made as to whether or not the accessory data relates to a new accessory. If the accessory data does not relate to a new accessory, settings data associated with the accessory can be generated and transmitted to a recipient. If the accessory data relates to the new accessory, accessory settings associated with the accessory can be identified and stored with the unique identifier as accessory settings data.

Abstract: A system that incorporates teachings of the present disclosure may include, for example, receiving a request for a voice call at a mobile switching center server, transmitting a mapping query from the mobile switching center server to a database in response to the request for the voice call, route the request from the mobile switching center server to an internet protocol multimedia subsystem for facilitating establishing the voice call when the mapping query is successful in obtaining an internet protocol address for establishing the voice call with a recipient communication device, and routing the request from the mobile switching center server to a second server for facilitating establishing the voice call without routing the request to the internet protocol multimedia subsystem when the mapping query is not successful in obtaining the internet protocol address. Abstract: In one embodiment, a method and apparatus for resolving domain name system queries using unique top-level domains in a private network space are disclosed.
