  • Patent number: 8544219
Abstract: A system adapted to remove radon gas and drainage liquid from a subterranean chamber or basement having a floor and an ambient environment. The system has a drainage channel forming a drainage portion and a venting portion. A valve is located between the drainage portion and the venting portion. Drainage liquid flows into the drainage portion and from the drainage portion through the valve into the venting portion. A pressure gradient is between the drainage portion and the venting portion. The valve substantially prevents the ambient environment from entering the venting portion while allowing drainage liquid to flow from the drainage portion into the venting portion.

  • Publication number: 20130247489
Abstract: A system for conditioning an attic of a building and venting a roof supported by a roof supporting structure. The system has a barrier isolating the roof supporting structure from an interior space of the attic. The barrier is sized to substantially cover an interior surface of the roof, the barrier isolating the interior surface of the roof from the interior space of the attic. A venting region is formed between the barrier and the interior surface of the roof, the venting region venting air from an outside of the building through the venting region and wherein the barrier substantially covering the interior surface of the roof prevents migration of air between the interior space of the attic and the venting region.

  • Patent number: 8292602
Abstract: The present invention relates to novel oblong, preferably bilobular, sump containers or reservoir housings for containing sump pump stands and two or more sump pumps, which containers are more narrow, side-to-side, than conventional circular, frustroconical larger volume sump containers, and only slightly longer or wider lengthwise than such conventional standard-size containers, to provide a substantially larger interior integrated oblong cross-sectional floor area for the containment of two or more sump pumps without interference with each other. The present housings preferably have a top oblong reinforcing rim and a reinforcing bridge connecting the reinforcing rim across the width of said container. The present sump pump reservoir housings also have a two-piece oblong or bilobular cross-section cover which is attachable to the reinforcing rim to enclose the housing and which includes ports for the extension of pump discharge conduits from pumps within the housing through the cover to a discharge area.

  • Patent number: 7856767
Abstract: A novel simplified system for protecting a crawlspace against the entry of sub-soil water vapor and external ground water from the crawlspace walls and floor and for completely isolating the crawlspace from water vapor from the ground. The present system comprises applying over the floor of the crawlspace, generally a dirt floor but sometimes a poured concrete floor, a continuous durable embossed plastic drainage panel, and extending the drainage panel vertically-upwardly to cover and seal the interior peripheral foundation walls enclosing the crawlspace to an elevation at least slightly greater than the elevation of the ground in contact with the exterior surfaces of the peripheral walls and preferably to the tops of the peripheral walls. This encapsulates the dirt surface of the entire crawlspace against the penetration of external ground water or floor water and also sub-soil water and water vapor and provides a water drainage space beneath the drainage panel for the escape of water and vapor therefrom.
