  • Patent number: 5927955
Abstract: A sump pump liner or container for a sump pump assembly designed to be automatically activated when the water level within the container, as sensed by an extended float, reaches a predetermined height. The invention resides in means, within the container, for preventing the pump assembly from moving close enough to the container wall to allow contact of the extended float with the wall. The floor of the container is provided with an integral stop member or a stop member insert to prevent movement of the sump pump assembly into contact with the container wall.

  • Patent number: 5881762
Abstract: A walled enclosure assembly adapted to be installed around the base of a water-containing appliance and bonded to the support floor to contain leakage therefrom without disturbing the appliance. The walled assembly comprises a plurality of wall segments, each having base flange, an upright wall and wall ends, each adapted to be bonded to the end of an aligned wall segment to form a continuous walled enclosure assembly. The assembly is designed to surround the base of a water-containing appliance, with the undersurfaces of the base flanges being bonded to the supporting floor to contain any leakage from the appliance. Preferably an integral drain tube is incorporated, and/or an automatic alarm means is attached which is activatable to signal excessive leakage.

  • Patent number: 5501044
Abstract: A sub-floor water control drainage conduit element and system which minimizes installation labor, materials and time. The drainage conduit element comprises an elongate conduit section which is somewhat hemispherical or somewhat-rectangular in cross-section and has a flat base on floor wall, and a roof wall and/or sidewall. The floor wall is designed to be supported on the top surface of a footing at the wall-footing interface or in an excavation at the base of a wall. The conduit section is open to admit groundwater, such as from the wall-footing interface, and the element contains an upper vertical wall portion which is designed to extend above the basement floor surface and is spaced from the basement wall to provide a wall drain gap down to the conduit section.
