  • Publication number: 20160075422
Abstract: A system and a method for gas transportation by air, in which the transported gas also creates at least some of the lift for the airship, transporting it. In the same time, a fluid cargo, which also serves as ballast, is loaded. One of the options is that some of the transported gas is carried in a compressed form within a strong vessel on the airship. Among other options for the fluid cargo is the same gas in liquefied form, sea water, fresh or brackish water, LPG and oil. Yet another option is carrying easily liquefied gas, which is evaporated and fills in the airship envelope on its way back. Other embodiments are disclosed, such as cooling the transported gas or using heated air or steam when the transported gas is unloaded. A network of airships, terminals and control stations for natural gas transportation by air and more can be used with multiple airships of this kind.

  • Publication number: 20150308411
Abstract: An airborne wind energy conversion system with lower input torque and/or better handling of the input torque. In one embodiment it has a ground generator, and a tether pulls an elongated member which is meshed with a gear of relatively small diameter. The system achieves relatively high initial RPM and relatively low initial torque. In another embodiment a wide and thin belt unwinds from a spool, having annulus-planet relation with the gear (like in a planetary gearbox). The gear is rotationally coupled to the rotor of the generator. In another aspect, the ratio of the wing air speed to the wind speed is normally below ?, which was taught as the optimum since Loyd.

  • Patent number: 8776206
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method, a system, and an apparatus for protecting data in a computer network. A device is placed on a network edge in such a way, that all outgoing data has to pass through it. Separately, a set of protected files that are not allowed to leave the network is defined. The device checks the passing data for the presence of the data from the defined set (protected data). If a threshold amount of the protected data is present, the device interrupts the connection or takes another appropriate action.
