  • Publication number: 20040136151
Abstract: A mounting apparatus includes a lock member (20), a support panel (30), and a securing panel (40). The support panel includes a main wall (32). First and second lock plates (33, 34) and catches (35) are arranged on the main wall. The securing panel includes a base board (41) and a flange (42). Catch holes (49) are defined in the base board, the catch holes engagingly receiving the catches. Two openings (45) are defined between the base board and the flange. The lock member includes two latches (22) engaging in the openings. First and second cutouts (23, 24) are defined respectively in opposite sides of the lock member. The first and second lock plates of the support panel are passed through the first and second cutouts of the lock member, thereby enabling the lock member to be slidably retained on the main wall by the first and second lock plates.

  • Publication number: 20040125576
Abstract: A motherboard mounting apparatus (10) includes a chassis (50) having a bottom panel (51), a support plate (40) attached to a solder side of a motherboard (60), and a clip (30) mounted to the support plate for fastening the support plate to the bottom panel. The bottom panel defines a plurality of catch slots (52) each having a locking portion (524), and forms two blocks (54). The support plate includes a plurality of catches (44) engaging in the locking portions respectively. An opening (46) is defined in the support plate. The clip includes two recessed portions (34) disposed below the opening. When the support plate is slid forwardly, the recessed portions snappingly engage with the blocks respectively, so that the catches are retained in the locking portions. The support plate is securely attached to the bottom panel. The motherboard is thus securely mounted to the chassis.

  • Publication number: 20040105222
Abstract: A mounting bracket (40) for mounting different types of power supplies (10) having different configurations of screw holes (14) to a computer enclosure (20) includes a body (41) for being attached to one of the power supplies. A plurality of countersunk portions (52) is defined in the body to configure such that selected of the through holes correspond to screw holes of the one of the power supplies. An L-shaped latch (44) is formed on a top portion of the body for suspending on the enclosure. A tab (46) depends from the body and defines a screw aperture (48) for engaging with a screw (60) which extends through the enclosure. A first rolled hook (50) and a second rolled hook (58) are formed outwardly from the body for engaging with the enclosure. A plurality of spring fingers (60) is formed in the body for electrically connecting with the enclosure.

  • Publication number: 20040074854
Abstract: An expansion card mounting apparatus includes a rear panel (20) defining an opening (21), a retaining bracket (10) including a main body (16) and a pressing body (12) extending perpendicularly from the main body, and a fastening member (30). A support plate (22) extends outwardly from the rear panel adjacent the opening. The retaining bracket is slidably engaged with the rear panel at the opening. A through opening (162) and two catch openings (164) are defined in the main body. The fastening member includes two spring fingers (38) engaging in the catch openings, and a resilient clip (36) extending through the through opening and engaging with the rear panel at the opening. The pressing body of the retaining bracket is thereby pushed toward the support plate by the clip, and securely sandwiches an end portion (524) of a slot cover (52) of an expansion card (50) with the support plate.

  • Patent number: 6693800
Abstract: A mounting apparatus for attaching expansion cards (60) to a computer enclosure includes a fastening member (10), a retaining bracket (30), and a rear panel (50). The fastening member includes a spring finger (12) and two opposite sidewalls (14). A pair of pivot pins (141) perpendicularly extends from outside faces of bottom ends of the sidewalls respectively, and a protrusion (143) is formed on one of the sidewalls. The retaining bracket includes a main body (34) and a pressing body (32)). A catch opening (341) and an aperture (343) are defined in the main body, for receiving the spring finger and the protrusion respectively. A support plate (54) is bent perpendicularly outwardly from the rear panel. The fastening member is pivotably attached to the retaining bracket. The main body is slidably attached to the rear panel. The expansion cards are retained between the support plate and the pressing body.
