An expansion zone is located in a lateral or medial subportion of a metatarsal portion and/or toe portion of the cycling shoe and configured to be opposite a portion of at least a fifth metatarsal of a wearer of the cycling shoe, the expansion zone being entirely surrounded by a window of structural upper paneling and defined by at least one panel having a greater stretching characteristics than the structural upper paneling of the window.

A plurality of slippage pads are disposed at selected locations on the concave inner surface and connected to the inner liner, the slippage pads having an elongated shape with a length and a width, the length being greater than the width, the slippage pads each defining a number of integrally connected side-by-side tubes each having an opening adapted to be oriented toward the wearer's head, the openings aligned longitudinally along the length of the slippage pads. A plurality of projecting cushioning pads are disposed adjacent to the slippage pads, and have a greater height than the slippage pads and exhibiting a greater deformability than the slippage pads.

A cutout is defined in a lower portion of the back surface of the torso portion and located in alignment with pockets of the cycling jersey, the cutout having a peripheral edge with opposite lateral edge portions, a bottom edge portion and a top edge portion, the bottom edge portion delimited by a strip extending between the opposite lateral edge portions, with a width dimension between the lateral edge portions of the cutout generally corresponding to a width of the pockets of the cycling jersey, and with a height dimension between the bottom edge portion and the top edge portion of the cutout generally corresponding to a height of the pockets of the cycling jersey.

Abstract: A helmet has an inner liner having a body of molded protective material. The body forms an inner cavity adapted to be mounted on a wearer's head to cover portions thereof. An outer shell is secured to and covers the inner liner and forms a generally continuous exposed surface of the helmet. A peripheral edge of the outer shell defines a lower contour of the helmet. Slits are defined in the outer shell and project generally upward from the peripheral edge. Flaps are defined each slit and by material of the outer shell deformed to an open position from a tucked position to open the lower contour of the helmet. A mechanism connects each flap to a remainder of the helmet at least in the tucked position.

Abstract: A helmet has an inner liner made of foam material forming a body of the helmet. The inner liner has a convex outer surface and a concave inner surface defining a cavity for receiving the wearer's head. The inner liner has a plurality of beams extending from front to rear of the helmet and spaced apart to form vents therebetween, the vents being free of foam material between adjacent beams. Rigid bridge members are comolded with the inner liner to be partially concealed in the inner liner, the at least one bridge member having at least one bridge projecting out of the foam material of two adjacent beams and extending transversely in at least one of the vents. At least one strap is provided to attach the helmet to a wearer's head.

Abstract: A seat pad for a cycling garment includes a rear portion oriented to align with a buttocks region of a cyclist and an intermediate portion oriented to align with a perineum region of the cyclist, the rear portion being separated into two seat surfaces including a padded area and having an elongated groove extending from one of a front end or a rear end of the seat pad towards the intermediate portion, the elongated groove having a length longer than a width at the respective one of the front end and the rear end of the seat pad. It also relates to a cycling garment including the seat pad.

Abstract: A fitting system for a helmet comprises a housing. Lateral tapes are to be connected to a helmet component, and are received in the housing, the lateral tapes enabling a lateral adjustment of the fitting system. A longitudinal tape is connected to a helmet component, with a second end received in the housing, the longitudinal tape enabling a longitudinal adjustment of the fitting system. A first locking mechanism operatively is connected to the lateral tapes and rotatable clockwise and counterclockwise to adjust the lateral adjustment and lock the lateral tapes at the adjusted lateral adjustment. A second locking mechanism is operatively connected to the second end of the longitudinal tape and is rotatable clockwise and counterclockwise to adjust the longitudinal adjustment and lock the longitudinal tape at the adjusted longitudinal adjustment.

Abstract: A bicycle helmet comprises a helmet body including a shock absorbing insert and an external shell overlying at least partially the shock absorbing insert. The shock absorbing insert and the external shell have a plurality of structural bridges interconnected with each other with ventilation openings extending therebetween, a majority of the structural bridges having elongated ridges protruding from a base section. The elongated ridges and the base sections of the external shell overlie a respective one of the elongated ridges and the base sections of the shock absorbing insert.

Abstract: A shoe cover comprising: a soft shell adapted to be worn over a shoe to cover at least partially the worn shoe. The soft shell having a front portion covering at least partially an upper toe region of the worn shoe, a metatarsal portion covering at least partially an upper metatarsal region of the worn shoe, and a heel portion covering at least partially an upper heel region of the worn shoe. A cutout is in the soft shell, the cutout having a substantial portion located in a lateral sub-portion of the metatarsal portion of the upper. A closure mechanism closes/opens access to the cutout from an exterior of the shoe cover.

A valve is formed of two pistons disposed onto a shaft, the pistons being sized to sealingly define with the conduit an interstitial space. The valve is displaceable by pressing the ends between a closed configuration in which the pistons block liquid from the cavity from entering the interstitial space, and a dispensing configuration in which the interstitial space is aligned with the passage and the spout to allow liquid from the cavity to reach the spout.

At least one of the finger portion comprises a pull tab defined by a panel portion extending distally beyond the tubular body of the finger portion and forming a generally continuous surface with part of the tubular body. A method of manufacture is also provided.
