Abstract: A toddler bed frame system is convertible for use with either a twin or full size bed, and includes a toddler side wall having detachable components for this purpose. A first supporting leg is connected to one end of the toddler side wall, and a toddler headboard is detachably and pivotally mounted about the first supporting leg. A second supporting leg is connected to the opposite end of the toddler side wall, and a toddler footboard is detachably and pivotally mounted about the second supporting leg. A third supporting leg is connected to the opposite end of the toddler headboard, and a side rail panel is detachably and pivotally mounted about the third supporting leg. A fourth supporting leg is connected at a free end of the side rail panel. A fifth supporting leg is connected at a free end of the toddler footboard.

Abstract: A crib and bassinet assembly is provided for accommodating newborns as well as older babies and children. The assembly includes a crib having opposing sides, each having a top rail. A bassinet is removably coupled to the top rails such that its foot end adjoins one side of the crib and its head end adjoins the opposite side. A method for providing a bedding arrangement for an infant is also provided which includes suspending the bassinet between the top rails of the crib.

Abstract: A crib includes a pair of lower guides which are mounted on lower portions of the headboards. When it is desired to lower the side rail of the crib, the side rail must first be raised to allow a steel pin to leave a locking slot and the side rail must then be pushed inwardly relative to the crib to overcome an integrally formed cantilever spring which normally blocks access to a guide slot which is formed in the lower guide. When the cantilever spring is pushed inwardly, the steel pin gains access to the guide slot and the steel pin can then slide downwardly thereby moving the side rail down.
