  • Patent number: 5886363
Abstract: To provide a simulation method capable of efficiently evaluating reliability of gate oxide films formed on the elements within short periods of time to evaluate characteristics of a semiconductor device made up of elements of any size and any number. In a semiconductor device having transistors formed thereon, a pattern 1 for evaluating characteristics of a semiconductor device characterized in that gate area portions 9, gate bird's-beak portions 10 and LOCOS bird's-beak portions 11, are factors affecting the insulation breakdown of the gate oxide film, are rendered to be variable, so that the shapes of these portions can be handled as independent parameters.

  • Patent number: 5879175
Abstract: A card (12) is inserted by pushing against a rubber roller (44) at the leading end of the card (12). The action of the rubber roller (44) pivots an actuation lever (24) to actuate a switch (36), which, in turn, starts a motor (16). The card (12) is moved inwardly by the rotation of the rubber roller (44) thereby pushing the card against support legs (62) causing a pinion (58) to engage with a rack (56) mounted on a card holder (48). The card holder (48) then holds the card (12) and is driven by the pinion (58) causing hook portions (84a, 84b) of pushing arms (72a, 72b) to engage the trailing edge (12b) of the card (12) thereby connecting the card (12) with contact pins (22) of an electrical connector (20) by pushing the card at its trailing edge.

  • Patent number: 5752716
Abstract: An inflator which generates gas and heat as the inflator is actuated. The inflator includes an identifying member. The identifying member is provided on the inflator so as to permit the identification of an unactuated state and an actuated state of the inflator on the basis of heat generated during the actuation of the inflator.

  • Patent number: 5702123
Abstract: An air bag apparatus for a passenger seat includes: a first sensor for detecting an occupant seated in a passenger seat; a second sensor for detecting a state in which the occupant is approaching an instrument panel excluding a state in which the occupant put out his or her hand(s) on the instrument panel; and a deployment controller for changing the control of deployment of an air bag when the occupant is detected by the first sensor and the state in which the occupant is approaching the instrument panel is detected by the second sensor.

  • Patent number: 5599040
Abstract: A method of manufacturing a bag for an air bag system has the steps of (a) securing together a first base cloth having a gas inlet and a second base cloth along a periphery thereof, (b) forming a main bag and at least one auxiliary bag so that the at least one auxiliary bag is located between the main bag and the periphery, and (c) turning the first base cloth and the second base cloth inside out via the gas inlet. A bag is provided by the method and has a main bag and at least one auxiliary bag as component parts.

  • Patent number: 5356283
Abstract: A metal mold for sealing a semiconductor device with a resin and including a shutter gate mechanism. The mold drives a shutter gate pin by using the ejection stroke of a conventional seal press, and therefore eliminates the need for an extra drive source. It follows that the mold can be implemented only if an existing facility is slightly modified, and it is lower in cost than conventional metal molds.

  • Patent number: 4550948
Abstract: A vehicle body structure which increases the rigidity of a side door supporting mechanism which is defined by a vertical supporting pillar and a horizontal rocker panel. The structure has a reinforcement member which is sandwiched between a lower portion of an outer pillar panel and an outer rocker panel, and is fixed to the outer pillar and rocker panels by welding methods, resulting in the increased rigidity of the entire side door supporting mechanism.
