  • Patent number: 7649964
Abstract: A radio receiver includes a channel estimation unit, phase difference vector generation unit, correction coefficient setting unit, and noise estimation unit. The channel estimation unit obtains a channel estimated value from a received signal at a predetermined period by using a known pilot signal. The phase difference vector generation unit obtains a phase difference vector between the preceding channel estimated value and the current channel estimated value. The correction coefficient setting unit sets a correction coefficient corresponding to the phase difference vector. The noise estimation unit obtains a corrected noise estimated value by correcting a noise estimated value on the basis of the received signal and the correction coefficient. A noise estimated value correction method is also disclosed.

  • Publication number: 20090268786
Abstract: A mobile communication system capable of improving the reception characteristic using a small circuit size and low power consumption is provided. The channel vector estimating section 181 estimates channel vectors in a method such as a method in which the section 181 multiplies, according to the multipath timings sent from the multipath timing detecting section, the input signal from the base-station receiving section by a complex conjugate of a known pilot signal to average the input signal (to average the input signal by de-spreading the pilot signal in the case of CDMA). The noise estimating section 182 estimates noise power using received signals and generates a Channel matrix by arranging the estimated channel vectors according to the multipath timings. The weight calculating section 184 calculates a weight matrix using the noise estimation value and the Channel matrix and sets the obtained filter weight vectors to the equalizing filter 185.

  • Patent number: 7574226
Abstract: Pluralities of state update frames are defined. The base station is configured to transmit a state update data to instruct the mobile station to be set to either an active state or a suspended state, in the state update frames. The base station is configured to transmit a packet only to the mobile station that has been set to the active state by the state update data. The base station notifies the mobile station of a packet transmission by transmitting a control data including a data necessary to receive the packet, earlier than the packet transmission by a predetermined time. The mobile station is configured to receive the control data and the packet when being set to the active state, and is configured to not receive the control data and the packet when being set to the suspended state.

  • Publication number: 20090046588
Abstract: A corrected channel estimating apparatus is disclosed, which is capable of removing side-lobe components mutually leaking into transmission paths from channel estimates to increase the accuracy. A channel estimation unit calculates channel estimates for a plurality of transmission paths due to a signal that arrives through multipath. A channel estimate correction unit removes side-lobe components mutually leaking into the transmission paths from the channel estimates calculated by the channel estimation unit to correct the channel estimates. In this way, the corrected channel estimating apparatus estimates transmission paths of a multipath.

  • Publication number: 20080192682
Abstract: A MIMO wireless communication system capable of relaxing a reduction in a transmission rate on a cell end far from a base station and ensuring a high transmission rate for a mobile station, irrespectively of a distance from the base station is provided. In a state 1 in which a mobile station 21 is away from a first base station 11, a distance between the first base station and the mobile station is short, a propagation line state is good, and high speed transmission is possible. Therefore, the mobile station checks a propagation line quality and instructs only the first base station to transmit data to the mobile station. When the mobile station moves to a state 2, a transmission line state between the mobile station and the first base station is worse but the mobile station is communicable with a second base station along with a reduction in a possible transmission data rate.

  • Patent number: 7403789
Abstract: There is provided a mobile communication system capable of reducing the power consumption in the packet wait state and promptly transmitting a packet when data transmission is requested. At a predetermined synchronization establishment interval start time (T1), a base station starts transmission of DPCH (DL) which is a downlink individual channel. A mobile station receives the DPCH (DL) and starts synchronization establishment operation. If the synchronization of the DPCH (DL) is not established by the synchronization establishment interval end time (T2), the synchronization establishment operation is continued.

  • Patent number: 7292556
Abstract: A CDMA radio device is provided which is capable of reducing a hardware scale and providing more accurate path selection with low power consumptions. A down-sampling part outputs data of which sampling frequency is made lower than A/D sampling frequency. A correlator part performs correlation calculation of the data using specific spread codes designated in cell information to create a delay profile. A first path selection part selects a path in the delay profile and transfers selection information to an up-sampling part. The up-sampling part supplements delay profile data at sampling time that has been lost in the down-sampling part. A second path selection part transfers some location information of ultimately determined paths to a base station spread demodulation unit or a mobile station spread demodulation unit as a path timing signal.

  • Publication number: 20070243562
Abstract: It is expected that lectins of a needed number of types appropriately corresponding the variation of sugar chains, if available, are highly useful as tools for analyzing various sugar chains. From a lectin library containing plural types of lectins or an arbitrary mass of lectins containing plural types of lectins, lectins needed for analyzing sugar chains are selected to thereby construct a lectin sub-library. Using the lectin sub-library thus constructed, cells having sugar chains are identified. Moreover, an indication method whereby cells can be conveniently identified is provided.
