  • Patent number: 4331232
Abstract: A one-piece soap dish which can be molded as a single part yet will permit the lifting of projectable portions by movement of a tab portion so that a soap bar can be lifted and tilted from the dish. The lifting of the projectable portions is provided by an integral hinge which is placed between the tab portion and the floor. The one-piece soap dish can be molded with an integral bottom drip tray as well as wall members to provide a confinement for the soap.

  • Patent number: 4313904
Abstract: A container for liquids, preferably sterile liquids comprises a hollow body constructed of plastic material having a plurality of tubular ports integrally formed and extending therefrom. Each port has a quantity of plastic material integrally formed as a diaphragm within the port so as to seal the container. In a preferred embodiment, at least one of the ports has a resealable septum sealed within it. The diaphragm is positioned between the septum and the liquid within the container so as to prevent deterioration of the resealable septum caused by exposure to the liquid. Both the resealable septum and the diaphragm are constructed of a material which is penetrable by a hypodermic needle for use in administering sterile solutions.

  • Patent number: 4286640
Abstract: A tamper resistant cover for the port of a container for medical liquids which when applied to the port indicates that an additive material has been introduced into the container. The port cover is easily molded from a resinous plastic material and includes latch portions which fit into a latch bar with the latch bar serving as a means to prevent access with the latch portions so as to result in a tamper-resistant structure. Preferably, the latch portions are in the form of barbed sections and are guided by means of an inclined ramp into latch openings in such a manner that a compression fit is provided so that after the barbed sections are forced through the latch openings the barbed sections will expand to engage latch surfaces in the latching bar.

  • Patent number: 4247076
Abstract: A flow control device for flexible tubing wherein the device utilizes a toggle action in compressing the tubing against an anvil surface. A ratchet element is employed in conjunction with the toggle-action clamp to incrementally compress the tubing against the anvil surface. The clamp can be inexpensively molded in one piece and easily assembled without the placement of additional parts in the clamp body. The ratchet and toggle mechanisms offer the advantage of a one-hand operation for incremental compression of the tubing as well as a release of the clamp member.

  • Patent number: 4115954
Abstract: A gate structure is provided whch is openable from a remote position and includes a pair of spaced apart supports on one of which is mounted a hinge arrangement having a pair of spaced apart hinged members which are movable relative to one another and in turn hingedly mount a gate on a support. Power means is provided and is operably connected to the hinge means to effect the relative movement of the hinge members whereby upon relative movement the gate is tilted and the free end thereof is raised so that the gate will open under the influence of gravity. The power means is selectively operated by motive means which is operably connected to actuator means by an energy transmitting member which is substantially immovable during the transmission of energy from the motive means to the actuator means. Latch means is provided which releasably retain the gate in its closed position and when the free end of the gate is raised the latch means will release the gate so that same can move to an open position.
