  • Publication number: 20240087828
Abstract: Microelectromechanical systems (MEMS) switches are disclosed. Parallel configurations of back-to-back MEMS switches are disclosed in some embodiments. An isolation connection of constant electrical potential may be made to a midpoint of the back-to-back switches. In some embodiments, a separate MEMS switch is provided as a shunt switch for the main MEMS switch. MEMS switch device configurations having multiple switchable signal paths each coupling a common input electrode to a respective output electrode are also disclosed. The MEMS switch device includes shunt switches each coupling a respective output electrode to a reference potential. The presence of a shunt switch coupled to an output electrode enhances the isolation of the signal path corresponding to that output electrode when the path is open.

  • Publication number: 20240083093
Abstract: Systems and methods for making a reduced material container are provided that hold a preform adjacent to an open end of the preform, stretch the preform, close a mold about the stretched preform to form a truncated preform, and introduce a pressurized fluid into the truncated preform to expand the truncated preform and form the reduced material container. A stretch rod can be inserted into the preform to mechanically stretching the preform. The mold accepts the preform at a first end thereof, has an open state and a closed state, and the closed state forms a cavity defining an internal surface having a second end located remotely from the first end. A first length is defined by a distance between the first end and the second end, the stretch rod mechanically stretching the preform to a second length, the second length being greater than the first length.

Abstract: A phasing system for an internal combustion engine having a concentric camshaft includes an annular stator rotatable by the crankshaft and having inner and outer circumferences, and two groups of arcuate cavities. The first group interrupts the inner circumference. A first phaser having an output member as a hub is mounted within the stator in contact with the inner circumference and supported directly on the camshaft tube as a concentric stator bearing. The first phaser has vanes connected to the output member and extending radially into the first group to divide cavities into opposed working chambers. A second phaser comprises first and second end plates at opposite stator sides and fastened to one another to axially seal the cavities therein and, as second output member of the second phaser, connect to vanes extending axially through the second group of cavities to divide the cavities into opposed working chambers.
