  • Patent number: 10664291
Abstract: A tire pressure monitoring unit includes a pressure sensor, a temperature sensor, a transmitter for wireless transmission of pressure and temperature data HF signals, a receiver for receiving wireless control LF signals, a microcontroller containing a program memory and a data storage device containing a library of control programs to control the measurement and transmission activity of the tire pressure monitoring unit. The microcontroller selects from this library, on the basis of control signals that are received, a control program and then writing it into its program memory. When a loading program is activated by a control signal, it causes the microcontroller to transfer into the data storage device an additional control program that is received by the receiver. A method includes adding, to a library of control programs in a data storage device connected to a microcontroller of a tire pressure monitoring unit, an additional control program.

  • Patent number: 10442255
Abstract: A method for assigning identifiers of wheel electronics to the positions of the wheels on the vehicle is disclosed. The wheel electronics send their individual identifier with information relating to the rotational direction of the wheel and to the occurrence of an impact on the wheel to a receiver. An evaluation unit: collects the identifiers and rotational direction information and the driving speed, and on this basis, differentiates between identifiers of wheel electronics on the left and right vehicle side; differentiates impacts reported from wheel electronics on the left vehicle side, from impacts reported from wheel electronics on the right vehicle side; measures the time between impact signals reported from wheel electronics on the left or on the right vehicle side; multiplies the measured time by the driving speed measuring during this time; and checks whether the length formed by the multiplication coincides with an axle distance.

  • Publication number: 20190248194
Abstract: A tire pressure monitoring unit is mounted on a vehicle wheel having a pressure and acceleration sensor. A method for assigning wheel positions includes pressure and acceleration data determined from the sensors. The pressure data and at least one piece of information derived from the acceleration data are transmitted wirelessly in a data telegram together with a characteristic identifier. Information concerning the reliability of the information derived from the acceleration data is acquired in the tire pressure monitoring unit on the basis of the measurements and is transmitted with the data telegram. A central evaluation unit considers a plurality of data telegrams and, taking account of data from the ABS sensors, assigns the individual tire pressure monitoring units to wheel positions. Data telegrams in which the reliability is higher receive a greater weighting, and data telegrams in which the reliability is smaller receive a smaller weighting.

  • Publication number: 20190171542
Abstract: A system and method for the real-user capable monitoring of the rendering process of dynamically updated web pages is presented. The proposed approach deploys a browser agent to content loaded and displayed by a web browser which monitors resource load activities caused by the processing of the content by the browser and in-place content modifications caused by the executions of scripts and XHR communication by the browser. Those resource load and content modification activities affecting the visible area of the browser are identified and a point in time is calculated at which the visualization of the content for the visible area is complete. Further performance monitoring data describing the performance of the rendering process depending on the percentage of finished portions of the visible area over time is calculated. In addition, data describing the rendering process in detail may be captured by the browser agent which may be used for a later playback of the rendering process.

  • Patent number: 10137743
Abstract: A tire pressure monitoring device is mounted on a wheel of a vehicle provided with a pneumatic tire. The device contains a tire pressure sensor and a transmitter which transmits signals wirelessly in transmission intervals, between which in each case there is a first transmission pause. A control device controls the sensor, the transmitter and the first transmission pause thereof. A source provides electrical energy to a rechargeable electric accumulator, in which electrical energy delivered from the source is stored until it is required. The state of charge of the rechargeable electric accumulator is monitored by a monitoring device and one or more of the first transmission causes is/are then ended as soon as enough electrical energy is stored in the rechargeable accumulator to operate the tire pressure monitoring device between two successive first transmission pauses until the conclusion of a predetermined number of transmission processes.

  • Patent number: 9902216
Abstract: Tire pressure control devices include first sensors to deliver repeatedly a measured value M1 for the rotation speed of the wheel. A measurand, from which the rotation speed of the associated wheel can be derived, is detected in a pointwise manner by means of a second sensor over a predetermined rotation angle ? of the wheel as a function of time, is subjected to a low pass filtering in a subsequent first time interval ?t1 and from the filtered development of the measurand a second measured value M2 is determined, which is a measurement for the rotation speed or respectively for the angular speed of the associated wheel. Each tire pressure control device transmits at the end of a second time interval ?t2 the second measured value M2 together with an identification of the tire pressure control device to a central unit. Comparing M1 and M2 determines wheel position.

  • Patent number: 9712457
Abstract: A system for automated aggregation of search results provided in response to search queries/requests to multiple network resources is provided. The search requests are originated by client devices, at the direction of a server, to the various network resources. A user, using a client device, enters a search request that is provided to the server. The search request may include one or more search terms. The server identifies which network resources, out of a set of available network resources, are likely to provide relevant results to the user's query. The server may modify the search request to increase the likelihood that the search request will return relevant results. The identified list of resources is then provided back to the client device, along with the modified search request if applicable, which then originates and transmits the search request to each of the identified resources or subset thereof.
