  • Publication number: 20240116486
Abstract: The aim of the invention is to allow a reliable quantification and classification of brake abrasion of a brake system of a vehicle and simultaneously reduce the complexity in a practical application. This is achieved by a measuring rim with a rim interior, in which a collecting housing is arranged that extends in the circumferential direction of the measuring rim over an extension angle (?). A collecting housing interior is formed in the collecting housing, and the collecting housing is at least partly open towards the collecting housing interior on a radially inner circumferential surface extending in the circumferential direction of the measuring rim. A discharge area is provided on the rim flange on the measuring rim, and a collecting channel which connects the collecting housing interior of the collecting housing to the discharge area is provided on the measuring rim.

  • Publication number: 20230280394
Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention provide an automated test equipment (a “tester”) for testing a device under test, including a bidirectional dedicated real-time handler interface. Some embodiments include an interface having a trigger function, a fixed endpoint interface, an interface arranged on a test head, and/or a number of lines/communication channels adapted to a specific communication task, without separate signal lines, for example. The bidirectional dedicated real-time handler interface can be used to transmit a multiple signals, such as a thermal control signal, synchronization signal, and/or other information to the handler in real-time, and the transmitted signals can be test site specific. The real-time signaling advantageously improves testing accuracy and efficiency.

  • Patent number: 11704987
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to aspirating smoke detectors (ASD). In an ASD, ambient air is aspirated and is fed to a fire detector unit for determining a signal level. For normal operation, the suction power is set to a nominal airflow value and this is increased from a minimum signal level value in order to shorten the transport time of aspirated smoke through the suction pipe to the fire detector unit. In some embodiments, an interruption signal provided for normal operation is output if the airflow exceeds an upper limit value for a minimum period. Independently thereof, the suction power is increased from the minimum signal level value only to the extent that the airflow does not exceed the upper limit value. Or, regardless thereof, the suction power is increased only for a timespan smaller than the minimum period in which the airflow exceeds the upper limit value.
