Martin Lenz has filed for patents to protect the following inventions. This listing includes patent applications that are pending as well as patents that have already been granted by the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).

  • Patent number: 7401862
Abstract: A construction machine for machining floor surfaces, wherein the machine includes a milling roll having a plurality of tool holders on a surface thereof. A tool, especially a straight shank tool, is received in a tool receiving element of the tool holder in an exchangeable manner. With this invention it is possible to change the tool in one such construction machine in a simplified manner. Thus, the milling roll is associated with a tool changing device, and the tool changing device dismounts each tool from the tool holder and/or mounts each tool in the tool holder.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: April 15, 2004
Date of Patent: July 22, 2008
    Assignee: Wirtgen GmbH
Inventors: Bernd Holl, Günter Hähn, Martin Lenz

  • Patent number: 6655869
Abstract: In a device for inserting dowels (2) in the vicinity of transverse expansion joints of freshly laid concrete road surfaces (4), comprising a machine frame (8) supported by traveling mechanisms (6), at least one storage container (10,12) for the dowels (2), a smoothing board (20) resting on the road surface (4) and including slits (24) running in a direction of travel and provided for accommodating the dowels (2), a retaining device (28) for the dowels on the slots (24), and a dowel placing device (32), it is provided that a line conveyor device (40) accepts separated dowels (2) in a section (44) of a bottom or lateral area (48,52) of the storage container (10,12) and delivers the dowels (2) to the slots in the smoothing board (20).

  • Patent number: 6386793
Abstract: A device for smoothing a concrete paving surface including a machine frame that defines a predetermined working width perpendicular to a predetermined direction of travel of the machine frame, and a carriage system for moving the machine frame in the predetermined direction of travel. The device also includes a transverse smoothing portion carried by the machine frame for smoothing concrete paving across the predetermined working width that has two transverse structures with adjacent ends and remote ends and an articulating portion for connecting together the adjacent ends of the transverse structures. The device further includes a longitudinal smoothing portion for effecting longitudinal smoothing of concrete paving, and a moving portion for moving the longitudinal smoothing portion along the transverse structures over the entirety of the predetermined working width.

  • Patent number: 5998191
Abstract: Novel enzymatic methods to determine the concentration of homocysteine in biological fluids are described. In a typical embodiment of the invention, the biological fluid sample is from a patient, and the methods of the invention are useful to assess risk for cardiovascular disease. The novel methods of the invention involve use of particular homocysteinase enzymes that permit the determination of homocysteine concentrations in biological samples without interference from the concentrations of cysteine and/or of methionine that are routinely present in such samples. There is also provided a diagnostic kit for use in determining the amount of homocysteine in a biological sample comprising (a) a homocysteinase having the aformentioned characteristics, and (b) at least one reagent capable of being used to determine the amount of product formed in the homocysteinase reaction.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: July 24, 1998
Date of Patent: December 7, 1999
    Assignee: Anticancer Inc.
    Inventors: Yuying Tan, Martin Lenz
