    Abstract: A connector for connecting printed boards comprises contact terminals (40a-40x) where contact portions and board connection terminals are connected by spring bodies, a movable housing (20) for receiving the contact portions, and a fixing housing (30) to which the board connection terminals are fixed. Reinforcement pins (50a, 50b) are inserted through through-holes penetrating through the movable and fixing housings. The contact terminals (40a-40x) are installed in the movable and fixing housings, and both housings are connected by the spring bodies with a predetermined spacing between them. Because the reinforcement pins limit the movement direction of the movable housing, vertical shock force applied to the connector housings is smoothly absorbed.

This hinge connector is mounted on the main body housing (90) of an electronic device, a circuit board (70) is connected to a cover body, and the contact member (50) is disposed to make rotation contact with the pattern on the circuit board. Such arrangement provides a hinge connector wherein the contact smoothly rotates even if the contact pressure on the circuit board is increased, and good contact can be maintained.
