  • Publication number: 20040180559
Abstract: A hinge connector comprising an insulative connector housing (10) having a predetermined shape, a through hole extending through the connector housing, a receiving chamber defined in the through hole, and an elastic contact member (30) having electric conductivity and a rotatable contact member (50) that are received in the receiving chamber, wherein the elastic contact member (30) is elastically contacted at one end thereof with the rotatable contact member (50), and projects at the other end out of the through hole to form an external contact. This hinge connector is mounted on the main body housing (90) of an electronic device, a circuit board (70) is connected to a cover body, and the contact member (50) is disposed to make rotation contact with the pattern on the circuit board. Such arrangement provides a hinge connector wherein the contact smoothly rotates even if the contact pressure on the circuit board is increased, and good contact can be maintained.

  • Patent number: 6652301
Abstract: Providing an ejector mechanism for card connector which is of a type wherein a transmission pin retained by a drive member is circulated in a heart-shaped cam groove along a predetermined circulating direction in conjunction with reciprocal movement of a push rod. A resilient cantilever arm has its fixed end secured to the drive member. A free end of the cantilever arm defines a bent projection, which is provided with the transmission pin. The cantilever arm utilizes its own resilience for urging the transmission pin against a bottom of the cam groove.

  • Publication number: 20030211787
Abstract: An electric connector is connected to a conductive part, e.g. an electric wire, of a first article, and is fitted onto the first article and/or a second article. The contact of the electric connector directly contacts a conductive part of the second article with a sufficient contact pressure. The electric connector includes a housing fitted onto at least one of the articles, and a contact provided on the housing and including a connecting part connected to the conductive part of the first article, a contacting point contacting the conductive part of the second article, and an elastic part, which undergoes elastic deformation when the contacting point is pressed. The housing and/or the contact has a holding member, which holds the elastic part in an elastically deformed condition in advance in the direction of pressing the contacting point and prevents the restoring movement thereof.

  • Patent number: 6623304
Abstract: In a connector main body, a first card installing space used to install an SD card is formed, and also, a second card installing space used to install a SIM card is formed between this first card installing space and a mounting wiring board. A SIM card connector mounted on the mounting wiring board is faced to the second card installing space. Since the SIM card is installed in this second card installing space, and a stopper is slide along rails so as to be moved on the SIM card, the connection condition between the SIM card and the SIM card connector can be maintained. Under this condition, the SD card can be mounted or dismounted with respect to the first card installing space.

  • Patent number: 6619965
Abstract: A connective structure for coupling a first and second printed circuit boards (11,12) facing one another is composed of a female connector (13) surface-mounted on the first printed board (11) and a male connector (14) also surface-mounted on the second board (12) so as to fit on the female connector (13). The male connector has a housing (41) and positioning pins (35) extending from opposite lateral ends of the housing towards the first printed circuit board, and each positioning pin has a free end protruding beyond the housing top. Positioning openings (26) are formed in the first circuit board so that the pins (35) are inserted in them to couple the female and male connectors (13,14) at their positions correct and accurate relative to each other to establish a reliable electric connection, such that the connective portions are protected from distortedly fitting one in another even if distance between the circuit boards (11,12) is reduced.

  • Patent number: 6129558
Abstract: A connector for a printed circuit board including a board-shaped housing with windows and connecting terminals arranged for the windows. An intermediate part of each connecting terminal is fixed to a housing part at an edge of the window, and a contacting part of the connecting terminal is arranged so that it can undergo elastic deformation in the window in the direction of thickness of the housing near the top of the housing. The external end of the connecting terminal is formed as a lead, and the connecting terminal is provided with a reinforcing lead that extends from the intermediate part toward the bottom of the housing in the window. If necessary, a reinforcing frame is embedded in the housing. A production method thereof is indicated by example, wherein connecting terminals and a frame being connected together are press-formed, and they are integrally molded with the housing, then the connecting terminals and the frame are disconnected from the rest.
