  • Patent number: 5424026
Abstract: The invention provides an apparatus for compressively molding cushioning material using a quadrangular cylindrical molding box having an end side closed by a receiver mold, whereas the other end of said molding box receives supply of dry raw material consisting of fiberized paper or pulp by a volume corresponding to several times the actual volume of a molded body. A compressive mold inserted from the other end of the molding box is shifted to one-end side of the molding box to compress supplied raw material between a receiver mold. Simultaneously, a core member is retreated to a predetermined position of said one-end side in association with the shifting movement of the compressive mold. As a result, the core portion having thin thickness and the interior of the core member can securely be compressed and molded with even density.

  • Patent number: 5073949
Abstract: When verification is performed using a plurality of fingers in accordance with a positional relationship of the joints of the fingers, an image of the plurality of fingers is separated into the images of the respective fingers, and comparison and collation are individually performed for the fingers. Phase data of each finger can be individually extracted, and a collation result of the fingers and phase shift data between the fingers based on phase data are generally determined. A guide member for guiding the placement of the fingers is mounted on a finger table to define positions at which the plurality of fingers are placed.

  • Patent number: 5058554
Abstract: A fuel injection system for an engine has a plurality of bottom-feed type fuel injection valve assemblies. Each of the assemblies has an outer casing and an injector main body which is accommodated in the outer casing and is electrically operated. The outer casing is provided with a fuel inlet and a fuel outlet in communication with each other. A fuel supply pipe is connected to the fuel inlet of the upstreammost fuel injection valve assembly, and a fuel return pipe is connected to the fuel outlet of the downstreammost fuel injection valve assembly. A connection pipe connects the fuel outlet of each fuel injection valve assembly to the fuel inlet of the next fuel injection valve assembly. A wire harness for supplying power to the injector main body extends through a harness member which has a plurality of valve holders formed integrally therewith. Each valve holder is fixed to the upper portion of the outer casing by a fastener.

  • Patent number: 5054089
Abstract: An apparatus for identifying an individual includes a reader for reading the input image of a finger of the individual and outputting an image signal corresponding to the image of the finger, an adder for adding the image signal output from the reader in a direction perpendicular to a longitudinal direction of the finger and outputting an addition signal, and a memory such as an IC card for storing a previously registered addition signal output from the adder. A first signal obtained by decimation of the addition signal from the adder and a second signal obtained by the decimation of the addition signal stored in the IC card are roughly position aligned. After the rough position alignment, two addition signals, in which one is the addition signal before obtaining the first signal and the other is the addition signal before obtaining the second signal, are accurately position aligned. The two addition signals are then compared to decide whether the finger image corresponds to an authorized person.

  • Patent number: 4920507
Abstract: A recursive digital filter comprises an input terminal receiving an input signal, an output terminal for outputting a filtered signal, an offset value circuit for outputting a predetermined offset value, an adder having a first input connected to the input terminal and a second input connected to receive the predetermined offset value from the offset value circuit, and a recursive digital filter loop having an input connected to an output of the adder and an output connected to the output terminal. With this arrangement, the recursive digital filter loop receives the input signal added wtih the predetermined offset value, so that, even if the input signal is zero the recursive digital filter loop will process some signal which is not zero, and accordingly, the result of the processing of the recursive digital filter loop never becomes zero. Accordingly, the limit cycle caused due to accumulation of rounding error will not occur.
