  • Publication number: 20060226079
Abstract: A hemodialysis apparatus includes a dialyzing device, a measuring device and a calculation device. The dialyzing device dialyzes and ultrafiltrates blood of a patient circulating extracorporeally to perform hemodialysis treatment. The measuring device measures a variation rate of a body weight of the patient and a variation rate of a predetermined blood benchmark during the hemodialysis treatment using the dialyzing device. The calculation device calculates, during the hemodialysis treatment, a parameter relating the variation rate of the body weight and the variation rate of the predetermined blood benchmark to each other, and correlating to a dry weight of the patient.

  • Publication number: 20060081517
Abstract: A hemodialysis device includes a hemodialysis device main body including an arterial blood circuit, venous blood circuit, blood pump, dialyzer, dialysate inlet and outlet lines, voltage adding means, electric potential measuring means, and monitoring means monitoring the needle when it is detached from the patient based on an electric potential measured by the electric potential measuring means. One electrode of the voltage adding means is attached between an arterial blood needle in the arterial blood circuit and the pump, and another electrode is attached to the dialysate outlet line. The hemodialysis device allows the precise detection of a needle that is detached from a patient taking a blood hemodialysis treatment by monitoring a voltage difference at a predetermined position while providing voltage to the blood flowing in the blood circuit. The device also allows the suppression of an increase in production cost for a disposable blood circuit.

  • Publication number: 20060043007
Abstract: A blood purification device allows confirming whether a specific peak is provided by a means, such as a ultrafiltration pump, to concentrate the blood or not and also allows measuring certainly and accurately a blood re-circulation with reduction of parameters which can provide a ratio of re-circulating blood. The blood purification device including blood circuit route 1 composed of arterial blood circuit route 1a and venous blood circuit route 1b, blood pump 3, dialyzer 2, water removal pump 8 which can provide the specific peak in the variation of blood concentration by removing water rapidly in a short period of time, and detecting means detecting said specific peak, can measure the blood re-circulation based on the specific peak detected by the detecting means. The re-circulating blood flowing is the blood which was introduced again to arterial blood circuit route 1a after it had been returned to a patient from venous blood circuit route 1b.

  • Publication number: 20050010118
Abstract: A method and device for measuring a patient's pulse rate and blood pressure and also the condition of the blood vessel access can be accurately monitored by identifying a frequency component of the pressure wave caused by the patient's heartbeat among other pressure waves in a fluid by frequency analysis. The method and device are used when a medical device is connected to the patient's blood vessel via a blood vessel access and has a mechanical device for applying pressure to a fluid to transport it to said blood vessel.

  • Publication number: 20040143965
Abstract: A waterproof seal feeding machine is provided to feed waterproof cylindrical seals to a fitting position on an axis of an electric wire to fit the seals onto outer peripheries of end portions of the electric wire. The waterproof seal feeding machine includes holders that open and close at the fitting position. The waterproof seal feeding machine further includes a seal cavity that receives the seal at the fitting position when the holders are closed. A passage forming member forms a feeding passage to feed the seal into the seal cavity with a posture to receive the electric wire. A lock brings the seal to a locked state in cooperation with the holders and releases the locked state after insertion of the electric wire.

  • Patent number: 6660383
Abstract: Carbon fiber including graphitized fiber is processed electrochemically in an acidic solution for a time sufficient to run a layer reaction such that the reaction extends to the inside of the fiber and thereafter, as required, heat-treated accurately at 100° C. or more to expand layer spacing to form multifibrous carbon fiber, with which hydrogen is brought into contact, adsorbing hydrogen in the inside of the multifibrous carbon fiber.
