  • Patent number: 5354594
Abstract: The invention is a weather strip having good water-repellency and a method for preparing a weather strip for an automobile or a building. The weather strip includes a flock portion on its sealing portion surface to which a hardened reactive silicone layer is coated. The reactive silicone layer is made of a base material, a catalyst and a solvent. The hardened reactive silicone layer may further include a coupling agent, an ultraviolet cut-off pigment or a fine powder. The weather strip is prepared by applying the reactive silicone layer to the flock portion of the weather strip and curing the reactive silicone at a temperature of 80.degree.-150.degree. C. for 1-20 minutes.

  • Patent number: 5265377
Abstract: A glass run of the invention includes a furrow part on which a window glass moves and slides. The furrows of the furrow part are inclined at a predetermined angle with respect to the sliding direction of the window glass. When dirt or dust is deposited in between the window glass and the furrow part, it enters the furrows of the furrow part. The slanted configuration of the furrows of the furrow part, in combination with the sliding force of the window glass, moves dust or dirt along the furrows to a position where the dirt does not rub against the end face of the window glass. The structure of the invention keeps the window glass from undesirably rubbing dust or dirt, thus preventing an increase in sliding resistance and undesirable noise.

  • Patent number: 4658463
Abstract: A wiper blade capable of preventing a harsh metallic noise which is made by the direct impact of a metallic backing plate associated therewith on a blade holder. Rubber flanges are formed integrally with the body of the wiper blade so as to extend upward from the upper surface of the body. The flanges cover at least the longitudinal side edges of the metallic backing plate placed on the upper surface of the body so that the longitudinal side edges of the backing plate will not impact directly on the blade holder.
