  • Patent number: 5189444
Abstract: An improved automatic roll-in take-up roller for winding and unwinding a continuous sheet-like recording medium is disclosed, which comprises a plurality of cams disposed inside a hollow cylindrical body of the take-up roller for releasably holding a leading end of the recording medium inside the take-up roller, and a switching guide unit disposed immediately upstream of take-up roller for guiding the recording medium toward the take-up roller or a cutter. After the leading end of the recording medium is retained on the take-up roller, the guide unit can be displaced to a position spaced far distant from an outer peripheral surface of the take-up roller so that a large number of turns of the recording medium can be wound around the take-up roller. The cams are arranged along a longitudinal axis of the take-up roller at such a distribution that the recording medium is automatically aligned even when the leading end of the recording paper is inserted into the take-up roller in an obliquely displaced condition.

  • Patent number: 5156854
Abstract: In a press forming apparatus for forming spiral parts, a plurality of first connecting rods are mounted on a lower end of a divided core divided from a die in shifting relation to each other in a winding direction of vortex. The plurality of first connecting rods are supported by a vertically movable core plate, while a plurality of second connecting rods are mounted on a lower end of a lower punch in shifting in position relation to each other. The second connecting rods extend respectively through bores in the core plate, and are supported by a lower punch plate movable vertically and arranged below the core plate. Further, the first and second connecting rods extend through a stationary block. The stationary block is arranged between the die and the core plate, for restricting downward movement of the lower punch and the divided core.

  • Patent number: 4820546
Abstract: A membrane of the present invention used for a mask for X-ray exposure is made of an amorphous of boron nitride carbide hydrogenated, containing 1 to 10 atomic percent of carbon. This membrane is made in a plasma CVD, whose source gases are ammonia, diborane and methane diluted in argon gas. The flow rate ratio of the ammonia to the diborane is 0.6 to 1.55, the deposition temperature is 350.degree. to 500.degree. C., the gas pressure is 60 to 250 Pa, the applied RF power is 0.1 to 0.17 W/cm.sup.2. Thus formed membrane is adequately transparent to a visible light and the X-ray used for mask alignment, while keeping the stiffness enough and the residual stress properly tensile.

  • Patent number: 4610841
Abstract: A corrosion preventing device for use in an in-pile structure of a helium gas-cooled reactor for removing gaseous oxidating components from a primary cooling gas in a pressure vessel of the reactor to thus prevent oxidation of graphite members of the reactor pile. An oxidation product consuming member is provided in series with a primary cooling gas supply pipeline or a bypass pipeline thereof along with a device for heating the oxidation product consuming member. The oxidation product consuming member may be a single cylindrical member or a bundle of rods having a large number of through holes formed therein in a honeycomb pattern in the lengthwise direction thereof or a large number of balls. The material of the oxidation product consuming member should have a high affinity for oxidizing impurities at elevated temperatures. Preferably, the material of the oxidation product consuming member is carbon or graphite.

  • Patent number: 3961354
Abstract: An improved method of manufacturing a mesa type thyristor includes the formation, onto at least one face of a semiconductor substrate of a prescribed conductivity type of a ring or rings, of a deeply diffused region of the same conductivity type or that of the substrate but of a higher impurity concentration. As a result, the ring or rings of the deeply diffused region, surrounding the essential part of the thyristor, are, subsequent to the process of mesa-etching, exposed along the peripheral surface linking both faces of the substrate. The high-doped ring serves to effectively prevent an undesirable inducing of an inversion layer (i.e. channel region) across both surfaces of the substrate.
