  • Patent number: 7321819
Abstract: A novel vehicle deceleration control device for ensuring a proper distance between a vehicle and a preceding vehicle, etc., equipped on a vehicle, automatically decelerates the vehicle by controlling braking force based on a target deceleration, calculated based on a relative distance and a relative speed between the vehicle and its preceding vehicle, etc., when automatic deceleration is required. The inventive device, however, will decelerate the own vehicle based on a maximum allowable deceleration when the magnitude of the target deceleration is larger than the magnitude of the maximum allowable deceleration, restricting the vehicle deceleration. The maximum allowable deceleration is determined based on the vehicle speed of the own vehicle when a predetermined condition is satisfied, and maintained at a constant or within a predetermined range, thereby enabling a driver to judge the necessity of braking operation by himself during restricting the vehicle deceleration more easily than ever.

Abstract: A liquid fuel for a burning utensil such as a lighter, wherein a liquid fuel is upwards absorbed by a burning wick and is burned in the form of a flame at the end thereof, which comprises an alcohol as a main component, 5 wt % or more of a turpentine oil as a coloring agent for the flame and 10 wt % or more of petroleum benzene or n-hexane as a light-up improver for improving the percentage of lighting up. For example, the liquid fuel contains 70 wt % of the main component, 15 wt % of the coloring agent and 15 wt % of the light-up improver. The range surrounded by the points ABCDE in FIG. 1 represents the region for a suitable compounding for the liquid fuel. The above liquid fuel for a burning utensil contains an alcohol as a main component and secures the lighting-up at a low temperature and the sustainability of the effect of coloring a flame.

  • Publication number: 20060011536
Abstract: A flow adjusting mechanism comprises a path, which connects a fuel tank and a gas discharging nozzle to each other, and a filter, which is located in the path. The filter has been obtained with a process, wherein an artificial leather layer, which has an open-cell microporous structure, and a micro-cellular polymer layer are laminated together, and the resulting laminate, which is composed of the artificial leather layer and the micro-cellular polymer layer, is hot-pressed such that a thickness of the laminate is reduced by 23% to 55% of an original total layer thickness of the laminate. The flow adjusting mechanism exhibits little change of a flame length with the passage of time and has a long service life.
