  • Patent number: 4437920
Abstract: An apparatus for tire transportation in a tire-forming machine is described. The apparatus comprises a pair of circular plates attached to transfer means adapted to move in the axial direction of a tire-forming drum. A plurality of rotatable shafts are provided at substantially equal intervals in the circumferential direction on said circular plates and positioned on a circle concentric with said circular plates. To these shafts are attached levers having holding members for green tire or an intermediate assembly body for green tire and angular levers, said angular levers being connected together by means of linking members combined together through pins so as to form a number of parallelogram links of mutually cooperative movement and at least a driving means being provided for swinging said angular levers.

  • Patent number: 4431432
Abstract: The invention relates to a process and apparatus for separating mixed gas by adsorption in which adsorption and desorption steps are repeatedly carried out in a plurality of adsorption towers in staggered timings. The invention is characterized in that upon commencement of the desorption step, mixed gas having a low adsorbate constituent gas concentration which is delivered in the initial part of a pressure-reducing period (a primary pressure-reducing period) in an adsorption tower which has completed adsorption, is fed into an adsorption tower which has finished pressure-reduction to scavenge and desorb the adsorbate constituent gas adsorbed by an adsorbent, whereby enhancement of a yield of an unadsorbate gas can be achieved as compared to scavenging desorption making use of a part of an unadsorbate gas delivered during an adsorption step.

  • Patent number: 4172790
Abstract: A filter press for filtering a slurry in which there are a plurality of filter frames movable toward and away from each other and in which at least one movable pressure plate is positioned between each pair of filter frames. The pressure plate and filter frames form a filter chamber on each side of the pressure plate. This pressure plate is a combination of a partition plate positioned between the filter frames and frame members on opposite sides of the partition plate adjacent the filter frames. The frame members and filter frames have an open space thereinbetween which defines the filter chamber. The pressure plate also has a plurality of diaphragm members, one member on each side of the partition plate between the frame member and the partition plate. The diaphragm members and the partition plate have interstices thereinbetween.
