  • Patent number: 7036647
Abstract: A conveying apparatus includes a conveying assembly and a vertical funnel assembly mounted at a discharge end of the conveying assembly for guiding the discharge of bulk material. The funnel assembly includes a vertical row of frames slidably disposed on a pair of vertical wires. Adjacent frames are connected by flexible connecting elements. Each frame releasably carries a funnel element for conducting the bulk material so that a funnel element can be replaced without having to dismantle all of the funnel elements. Each funnel element includes a safety release connection enabling the funnel assembly to collapse under excessive loads, thereby protecting the conveyor from damage.

  • Publication number: 20050224397
Abstract: A vibrating screen for conducting material in a longitudinal direction while screening the material comprises a screening deck, exchangeable modular screening media, and an adapter arrangement for mounting the screening media on the deck. The screening deck includes transverse carriers oriented transversely of the longitudinal direction. The adapter arrangement comprises longitudinal support carriers arranged substantially in the longitudinal direction, and connecting elements oriented transversely of the longitudinal direction for interconnecting the support carriers and connecting the interconnected support carriers on the transverse carriers.

  • Publication number: 20050189265
Abstract: A screening deck for the screening of crushed stone material includes a plurality of screening elements arranged adjacent one another. At least one side of each screening element is non-parallel with respect to a longitudinal direction of the screening deck. The screening deck includes at least two different types of screening elements which are arranged at different heights in the screening deck for creating narrowing passages and/or winding paths and/or steps for the material traveling on the screening deck.

  • Patent number: 6794164
Abstract: This invention is directed to the use of crystallization acids, such as acetic, lactic and propionic acids, to obtain high purity polyhydroxyl cyclic carboxylic acids (PCCA) from low purity aqueous solutions. The preferred PCCA is shikimic acid and the preferred crystallization acid is acetic acid. The method according to the invention is particularly applicable to the isolation of shikimic acid from a fermentation broth.

  • Patent number: 6551010
Abstract: A vehicle impact system includes a road accommodating vehicle traffic in a direction along its center line, a support structure and first and second adjacent energy-absorbing fender elements supported by the support structure and extending adjacent to the road. Each of the first and second adjacent energy-absorbing fender elements includes an elastomeric leg extending non-parallel from the support structure and a contact panel extending from the leg. The contact panel has a contact surface extending substantially parallel to the road center line, a forward end and a rearward end. The forward end of the first adjacent fender element faces the rearward end of the second adjacent fender element such that when the contact surface of the first adjacent fender element is engaged by a vehicle, the leg of the first adjacent fender element resiliently flexes to move the forward end of the first adjacent fender element into engagement with the rearward end of the second adjacent fender element.

  • Patent number: 6211329
Abstract: A process for synthesis of a polymeric polyalcohol substantially and preferably built up form polyester units and composed of a monomeric or polymeric initiator molecule to which at least one dentritic branch (dendron) consisting of a number of branching generations is added. The branching generations comprise a polymericor monomeric branching chain extender having three reactive functions of which two are hydroxyl groups. The two hydroxyl groups of the ranching chain extender is acetal protected by reaction between said two hydroxyl groups and an acetal-forming carbonyl compound, preferably an aldehyde. The acetal protected branching chain extender is then employed for addition to the initiator molecule of a first branching generation followed by an optional deprotection of the hydroxyl groups by decomposition of acetals and for addition in repeated steps of further branching generations.

  • Patent number: 5197587
Abstract: A conveyor belt scraper device has at least one scraper blade which is mounted in an undercut mounting recess in a supporting element. The scraper blade is retained in the undercut recess by inwardly directed flanges defining the opening of the recess. One end of the scraper blade forms a scraper tip and the other end has a substantially complementary shape with respect to the mounting recess and is inserted therein. The long sides of the scraper blade have mounting grooves for holding the inwardly directed flanges. According to the invention, the scraper blade has a longitudinal slot extending from the end surface of the scraper blade through a considerable distance outwards beyond the flanges of the mounting recess towards the scraper tip. A T-shaped stiffening member is inserted in the longitudinal slot for stiffening the scraper blade. The invention also relates to a scraper blade of this design for use in the conveyor belt scraper device.
