  • Publication number: 20230191405
Abstract: In some examples, an instrument for measuring a volume of a liquid is provided. A gas flow rate sensor may measure a rate of flow of a pressurized gas to a reservoir storing a liquid. A controller may be coupled to the gas flow rate sensor and may calculate a volume of the liquid that the flow of pressurized gas displaces from the reservoir. In some examples, a method of measuring a volume of a liquid is provided. Using a gas flow rate sensor, a flow of pressurized gas may be measured. The flow of the pressurized gas may be delivered to a reservoir storing a liquid. A volume of the liquid in the reservoir may be displaced using the flow of pressurized gas. The measurement of the flow of the pressurized gas may be used to calculate the volume of the liquid that is displaced.

  • Patent number: 11438682
Abstract: A microphone assembly includes a housing including a base, a cover, and a sound port. The microphone assembly further includes an acoustic transducer and an electrical circuit, both of which are disposed in an enclosed volume of the housing. The transducer and electrical circuit work in concert to convert sound waves into a processed digital audio signal. The electrical circuit is configured to process digital data in a series of frames that correspond to a fixed period in time. The electrical circuit is further configured to reduce noise in the resulting signal by varying the current draw required in a randomized or pseudo-randomized fashion between adjacent frames of digital data.

  • Patent number: 11258706
Abstract: An example path discovery system includes a memory and processing circuitry in communication with the memory. The processing circuitry is configured to obtain routing script metadata associated with a telephony network, to parse routing logic implemented by one or more nodes of the telephony network, to emulate, using the routing script metadata and the parsed routing logic, a traversal path for a call through the telephony network, the emulated traversal path including the one more nodes for which the routing logic is parsed, to store, to the memory, the emulated traversal path and respective final states of runtime variables associated with the one or more nodes included in the emulated traversal path, and to generate, in a machine-readable format, one or more reports indicating a destination of the emulated traversal path in the telephony network and an ingress of the emulated traversal path with respect to the telephony network.

  • Patent number: 10564147
Abstract: Novel systems and methods are provided that rapidly separate particles from a liquid. In an embodiment, a small volume of liquid (such as a blood sample, or any other solution with a concentration of particles) is input into a flow device implemented as a unilateral channel. When activated by an acoustic energy source (such as an ultrasound pulse), gas-liquid interfaces naturally occurring between the liquid in the flow device and a plurality of gas-filled cavities that line the channel will oscillate and create stable cavitation streaming within a localized region of the surrounding liquid. These oscillations create micro-vortices that gently remove and trap particles and debris from the liquid and adjacent surfaces. Fluid and particle manipulation can thus be accomplished on a passive, disposable chip that is placed on top of an external acoustic transducer with a coupling medium.

  • Patent number: 10419272
Abstract: If there are mirrored WAN optimization devices, a master WAN optimization device sends a datagram received from a source across the WAN and sends a copy of the datagram to a mirroring WAN optimization device. When the mirroring WAN optimization device ACKs the mirrored datagram, the master WAN optimization device ACKs the host. When the master WAN optimization device receives the ACK from the WAN, the ACK is forwarded to the mirroring WAN optimization device, which deletes the mirrored datagram. Alternatively, the mirroring WAN optimization device can receive the datagram from the source, store it and forward it to the master WAN optimization device, which sends the datagram across the WAN and sends an ACK to the host. When the ACK from the WAN is received, the master WAN optimization device forwards the ACK to the mirroring WAN optimization device, when then deletes the mirrored datagram.

  • Patent number: 9979510
Abstract: The SACK scoreboard is used in slow recovery and the SACK scoreboard and an application programmed timeout are used to determine the initial CWND in slow recovery. The CWND is calculated so that all packets will be recovered before the application times out. A new socket option is provided for an application to program an application timeout (say APP_TO). This value is used in conjunction with the RTT (round trip time) to determine the initial CWND value to insure completion before timeout. Along with the timeout, the application can also set the mode as “soft,” where the CWND value is set to “1” as conventional but when that packet is ACKed, the CWND value is increased immediately to a modified calculated value to allow timely recovery.
