Abstract: A plug connector includes an insulative housing and a plurality of spring contacts retained therein. The insulative housing has a front face, a first mating face protruding from the front face, a plurality of passages extending rearwards from the first mating face for receiving a respective spring contact therein and a locking member secured in the insulative housing. The locking member has a second mating face abutting against the first mating face, a locking arm projecting forwards from the second mating face, and a pad positioned on the second mating face beside the locking arm. The shape of the gap between the plug connector and receptacle connector can be changed by adjusting the thickness of the pad. Properly, the gap is shaped to be a rectangle, so that the spring contact is provided with sufficient normal force to obtain a stable connection.

Abstract: A plug connector includes plastic covers, a mating portion and a latch. The plastic covers include an upper plastic cover and a lower plastic cover, the two plastic covers buckling with each other and forming a space. The mating portion which is fixed in the space includes a shell. A hook aperture is located on the front of the shell. The latch, which is fixed into the space, has two barricades. Each barricade stretches forward and forms an arm. Each arm has a hook at its head. The hooks pass through the hook apertures and project outwardly, wherein each barricade of the latch protrudes upward and forms a locating bulge. Correspondingly two locating cavities are defined inside the top surface of the upper plastic cover. The locating bulges are inset into the locating cavities.

Abstract: A memory card connector includes a base member, a plurality of contacts held on the base member and a slide cover slidably engaging with the base member. The base member has a rear opening, a pair of longitudinal guiding slots respectively defined at two opposite sides thereof, and a pair of locking tab disposed thereon. The sliding cover has a card cavity for receiving a memory card, an engaging slot defined at a rear portion thereof corresponding to the rear opening, and a pair of slide arms for sliding in the corresponding guiding slots. Each slide arm extends forwards to form a resilient arm with a locking recess defined therein for engaging with the corresponding locking tab. Therefore, as used in a cellular phone, the memory card connector can facilitate insertion/extraction of the memory card and hold the memory card reliably and exactly therein.

Abstract: A dustproof receptacle connector includes a dielectric housing having a cavity. A plurality of terminals and a dustproof means are received in the cavity. The back end of the dielectric housing is a closed end. A pair of guide grooves are defined in lateral sides of the cavity. The dustproof means includes a dustproof cover and a plurality of springs. The dustproof cover has a plate. A pair of arms extend from two opposite sides of the plate respectively. A pair of positioning pillars are defined in the inner side of the plate. The springs twine on the positioning pillars and the arms slide in the guide grooves. A block protrudes inwardly from the inner side of each arm respectively to increase the anti-stress intensity of the arms.

Abstract: A memory card connector mountable onto a PCB for connecting a memory card includes a housing and a shell covering the housing to define a receiving room for receiving the memory card. The shell has two opposite sides electronically connecting to the PCB and a shell-conductive portion formed and bent inward from one side of the shell. A plurality of terminals is contained in the housing and has contacting portions extending into the receiving room for engagement with the memory card. A detecting terminal disposed in one side of the housing has a resilient contact arm disposed behind the contacting portions and a terminal-conductive portion extending toward the shell-conductive portion. The resilient contact arm is deflectable by the fully inserted memory card, which drives the terminal-conductive portion to electronically contact the shell-conductive portion, thereby detecting full insertion of the memory card.
