    Abstract: A luggage piece which has an internal compartment with a zipper closure, a pulling tab and a pair of carrying straps. One of the straps is secured at one end to the luggage and at the other end has a shackle device attached thereto. A lock is fixedly secured to a second location on the luggage. The strap is configured to allow passing of the disconnected strap through an immovable object. The shackle is sized, shaped and configured to pass through an opening in the zipper tab. Thereby, the luggage is capable being tethered to the immovable object and thus becoming itself immovable and the contents in the internal compartments of the luggage are secured against theft simultaneously.

    Abstract: A bag which has a zipper which is closable over an interior space of the bag using a zipper slider. The zipper slider has a pull and a first locking tab which juts forwardly from one end of the zipper slider and defines therein a first locking slot sized to receive a locking element of a lock. A second locking tab defines a second locking slot with the second locking slot also being shaped to receive the locking element. The first and second locking tabs are configured to be selectively overlapped or aligned so as to register their locking slots, whereby upon passage of the locking element through both locking slots, access to the interior space of the bag is prevented. The locking element can be connected to a cable with a loop to tether the bag to an immovable object.

    Abstract: A pin-tumbler locking mechanism comprising a lock-core with an elongated key slot and a series of bores arranged in a plane of the key slot for a corresponding series of driver pins of various lengths slidably received in the bores. The lock-core is normally supported in lock casing. A corresponding series of spring-supported key pins is seated in a series of bores coaxially with the driver pins so that normally at least some of the key pins are adapted to push respective driver pins to project into the key slot each by a different extent according to the respective lengths thereof; a key comprising alternately teeth and notches so that when inserted into the key slot, the driver pin ends contacting the key pins become flushed with planar surface to allow a sliding movement of the lock-core within the lock casing.

The lock comprises a pair of base plates (16, 18), each secured to one of the wings so that in the closed position thereof the members (18d, 16d) are located side by side.
