  • Publication number: 20180223636
Abstract: A screen filter assembly has an upper screen housing and a lower screen housing, both of which contain screens to filter solids from dirty production fluid. The lower screen housing has a plurality of circular grooves that trap solids therein, thereby helping to prevent the solids from falling downward toward the plunger. In an embodiment, the lower screen housing may include a plurality of rings that seal off the area between the upper screen housing and the lower screen housing, thereby preventing any cleaned fluid produced by the lower screen housing from mixing with any contaminated fluid above it. In another embodiment, a screen filter assembly is incorporated into a full-length plunger, which contains a screen to filter solids from dirty production fluid. By filtering dirty production fluid, the screen filter assembly keeps the solids off of the plunger and away from the pump barrel.

  • Patent number: 10018000
Abstract: A latch assembly comprises a top latch portion, a spring, and a valve rod guide. The top latch portion has two prongs with the spring positioned therebetween. The valve rod guide has two corresponding notches to receive the two prongs. When the top latch portion is lowered toward the valve rod guide, the spring compresses against the northern end of the valve rod guide and the prongs engage the notches on the valve rod guide, thus firmly coupling the top latch portion to the valve rod guide. The latch assembly may also have a stabilizer, such as a collet adapter, coupled to a northern end of the top latch portion. The latch assembly may be used with a valve rod or a hollow valve rod.

  • Patent number: 9941740
Abstract: Systems, apparatus and methods for quantifying and identifying diversion of electrical energy are provided. Bypass and tap diversions may be identified in an electric utility power distribution inventory zone having both bypass and tap diversions. Bypass diversion factors for consumer nodes in an inventory zone are determined by finding a solution to a system of load balance equations having slack variables representing aggregate tap loads for the inventory zone and in which consumer load profile data is scaled by the bypass diversion factors, which solution minimizes an objective function whose value is positively related to the sum of the slack variables representing the aggregate tap loads.

  • Publication number: 20180066652
Abstract: A dump valve assembly is disclosed. The dump valve assembly has a seat plug, a spring, a standing valve, and a ball. The seat plug is anchored to the standing valve and has two prongs that engage two corresponding slots within the standing valve. By pressing downwardly upon the seat plug, the spring is compressed and the prongs slide downwardly until they engage the ball. By ceasing the downward pressure on the seat plug, the spring relaxes and expands, thereby lifting the ball off of the standing valve in order to open the standing valve for pump drainage.

  • Publication number: 20170307319
Abstract: A magazine for a firearm can have a housing defining a cavity with a biased follower arranged therein. The magazine may be configured to be received within a magazine well coupled to the receiver of the firearm so that rounds of ammunition stored in the magazine can be fed into the chamber of the firearm. In addition, multiple spacers can be received within the cavity defined by the magazine housing, which spacers may be configured to change or alter a width, dimension, size, and/or configuration of the magazine housing to allow the magazine to store and feed various and/or different caliber, length, size, and/or types of ammunition.

  • Publication number: 20160305409
Abstract: A traveling valve assembly adapted to be coupled to a southern end of a pump plunger wherein the traveling valve has an elongated body and two ball valves, one positioned at the northern end of the traveling valve and another positioned at the southern end of the traveling valve. The traveling valve prevents pumped fluid that has slipped downwardly past the pump plunger from continuing to slip further down into the pump barrel. The traveling valve captures that pumped fluid that has slipped downwardly so that it may be produced upwardly through the pump.

  • Patent number: 9421484
Abstract: A sand check filter for preventing solids from reentering into a pump. The filter is designed to mount atop a conventional rod pump. The filter allows well fluid, that contains high solids, to pass through the pump under normal operation while eliminating the solids from being swept back into the pump barrel. The filter includes a sleeve that has radial flutes that allows the sleeve from hanging up, sticking to or wedging itself to the valve rod. The sleeve is rotated on the valve rod to create a valve effect atop the filter. This prevents the fluid from passing through the inner diameter of the screen and forces solids within the fluid to be redirected to the outer diameter of the filter. This allows the fluid to be filtered before reentering the pump.

  • Patent number: 9163483
Abstract: The rod guide and solids control assembly can be mounted on a rod string. The assembly can allow well fluid that contains high solids to pass through the pump under normal operation while eliminating the solids from being swept back into the pump barrel. The assembly can include a body portion coupled to a bristle that extends helically around the body portion. The body portion can be placed on a pump valve rod or hollow valve rod. On an upstroke, the bristles can be locked into place for trapping and lifting the solids. On a downstroke, the bristles can be rotated for leaving the solids higher and away from a pump intake. This can allow the solids to be lifted out of the pump and thereby prevent solids from collecting on a bottom portion of the pump. Multiple assemblies can be incorporated into the sucker rod string.
