  • Publication number: 20050260186
Abstract: The invention relates to the discovery of novel soluble neutral active Hyaluronidase Glycoproteins (sHASEGPs), methods of manufacture, and their use to facilitate administration of other molecules or to alleviate glycosaminoglycan associated pathologies. Minimally active polypeptide domains of the soluble, neutral active sHASEGP domains are described that include asparagine-linked sugar moieties required for a functional neutral active hyaluronidase domain. Included are modified amino-terminal leader peptides that enhance secretion of sHASEGP. The invention further comprises sialated and pegylated forms of a recombinant sHASEGP to enhance stability and serum pharmacokinetics over naturally occurring slaughterhouse enzymes. Further described are suitable formulations of a substantially purified recombinant sHASEGP glycoprotein derived from a eukaryotic cell that generate the proper glycosylation required for its optimal activity.

  • Publication number: 20050179961
Abstract: Disclosed are an apparatus, system, and method for application integration and scriptability. The apparatus may comprise a multifunction device configured with a user interface module that is modifiable, and an engine module that is scriptable. The scriptable engine module may be configured to adapt to multiple applications and subsequently provide an appropriate user interface with accompanying input and output data fields. In one embodiment, the apparatus may be configured with self-contained application interfaces. The application interfaces may be configured to receive document data from a scanner, or alternatively, the application interface may be configured to output document data as an e-mail or fax. The system may include a network, the multifunction device and a plurality of optional services such as printers, e-mail servers, libraries, and databases.

  • Patent number: 5775298
Abstract: Two stroke internal combustion engine control compensates for diagnosed cylinder misfire conditions characterized by improper combustion, during a cylinder combustion event, of an air/fuel mixture in an engine cylinder by learning a required number of cylinder combustion events to periodically be skipped to allow for removal of residual combustion elements from the cylinder following improper combustion therein, and by periodically postponing cylinder combustion over the learned number of events. The learned number of events may vary across engine cylinders, across engine operating conditions, and further may vary as a function of each cylinder's misfire propensity and severity over various engine operating conditions.

  • Patent number: 5715780
Abstract: Internal combustion engine camshaft phaser position detection with a single position sensor fixed in position relative to a rotatably driven member rotating in constant phase with the engine camshaft and a rotatably driving member rotating in constant phase with the engine crankshaft. Teeth or slots are provided on the driven and driving members and pass in proximity to the sensor for varying a sensor output signal which is processed to determine the relative time of passage of the driving and driven members to determine relative phase therebetween.
