  • Patent number: 10290387
Abstract: Methods for precise and predictable modification of previously synthesized nanocrystals. The methods rely on the solubility behavior of crystalline materials to provide for controlled reversal of the nanocrystal growth process (i.e., dissolution). A method for post-synthesis modification of colloidal nanocrystals includes (1) providing a first nanocrystal having a first size and a first shape, (2) forming a reaction mixture that includes the nanocrystal, at least one ligand capable of binding to at least one component of the nanocrystal, at least one solvent, and an inert gas atmosphere, and (3) modifying the size and/or shape of the nanocrystal in the reaction mixture for a period of time at a temperature in a range from about 100° C. to about 240° C. so as to produce at least a second nanocrystal having a second size and/or a second shape.

  • Publication number: 20190123484
Abstract: An electrical connector includes a first housing. A second housing is moveable relative to the first housing and includes a travel peg. The electrical connector also includes a lever. The lever includes two lever arms that are joined by a handle. Each of the lever arms is attached to the first housing and allows relative rotational movement of the lever about a lever axis. The lever may be moved from a pre-stage position to a final position. The lever engages the travel peg to move the second housing linearly in an insertion direction from a pre-stage position to a seated position relative to the first housing. The travel peg moves along a peg path when the second housing is moved from the pre-stage position to the seated position. The peg path is located between the lever axis and the handle.

  • Patent number: 10175938
Abstract: A system and method are disclosed for navigation on the World Wide Web using voice commands. The name of a website may be called out by users several different ways. A user may speak the entire URL, a portion of the URL, or a name of the website which may bear little resemblance to the URL. The present technology uses rules and heuristics embodied in various software engines to determine the best candidate website based on the received voice command, and then navigates to that website.

  • Patent number: 9908147
Abstract: An adjustable nozzle assembly for a sieve box and a sieve box including same, including a support assembly and nozzles. A pair of elongated support members may be received through openings in support collars. Nozzles may be operatively connected to the collars. The support assembly, which may include collars and rods, are configured to provide at least one of lateral movement and rotational movement of the nozzles. At least one of the first elongated support member and the second elongated support member may be configured to move when coupled to the sieve box to adjust a spray angle of the nozzles. Pivoting of the one rod about the other rod adjusts the angle at which the nozzles are disposed. The rods may be externally threaded, and the collars may be internally threaded, such that when the rods are rotated, the collars translate laterally along the rods to move the nozzles.

  • Patent number: 8943967
Abstract: A method of mounting and adjusting a printing plate on a plate cylinder of a multicolor offset printing press is described. The printing plate is clamped between front and rear clamping bars, the rear clamping bar being movable under the application of a tensioning force and occupying, upon clamping of the trailing end of the printing plate, a tension-release position. Tensioning of the printing plate is carried out by initially applying a nominal tensioning force to the rear clamping bar. A print register of the tensioned printing plate is then measured and compared to a target print register to determine a corrected tensioning position of the rear clamping bar corresponding to the target print register. The tension of the printing plate is thereafter released. The correct tensioning position is set as new reference position of the rear clamping bar before or after tensioning again the printing plate.
