    Abstract: A thermal management system for an electronic device is provided a first thermal energy transfer assembly that is thermally coupled between a heat generating structure located on a circuit card and a first thermal interface surface that is spaced away from the heat generating structure. A second thermal energy transfer assembly includes a second thermal interface surface which is arranged in confronting relation to the first thermal interface surface. A clamping mechanism is arranged to move the second thermal interface surface between (i) a first position that is spaced away from the first thermal interface surface, and (ii) a second position wherein the second thermal interface surface is pressed against the first thermal interface surface so as to allow the busing of thermal energy from the first thermal energy transfer assembly to the second thermal energy transfer assembly by heat transfer from the first thermal interface surface to the second thermal interface surface.

    Abstract: A paint container support device for use with a ladder having a plurality of rungs includes a hook member having upper and lower portions. The upper portion includes a generally inverted U-shaped configuration whereby the device may be selectively suspended from a ladder rung. The lower portion is configured to receive a bail of a paint container. A body portion is attached to the lower portion of the hook member, the body portion having an elongate rear edge offset and depending from the hook lower portion so as to position a paint container in a generally vertical configuration and generally perpendicular to the container's bail when the bail is received by the lower portion of the hook member. A selected one of a plurality of support strips may be releasably connected along the rear edge to further offset a paint container and regulate its position relative to its bail.

The instantaneous temperature change that occurs when pressure is applied combines a high-temperature short-time process with ultra-high pressure to deliver a fast and therefore gentle thermal process to a pre-packaged product. The process involves heating a food to a pre-pressurized temperature, subjecting the food to ultra-high pressure, which instantaneously raises the temperature of the food, and then releasing the pressure so that the temperature returns to the original pre-pressurized temperature. The method leverages the adiabatic temperature rise which occurs when the food is hydrostatically pressurized, coupled with the lethality of the pressure, to achieve appropriate sterilization conditions. The disclosure also includes foods which have been sterilized using both ultra-high pressures and high temperatures.

The molluscs which are biocontrolled by the disclosed method include slugs, i.e. Deroceras reticulatum. In addition to the specific biocontrol of slugs the invention is applicable to the biocontrol of other molluscs, such as snails, i.e. Monacha cantiana, which are harmful to plants in the field or greenhouse, or to those which carry parasites harmful to humans or animals.

An adapter allows the breast milk to be pumped directly into the liner of the nurser without the need for any moving parts in response to cyclic pressure variations in the reservoir of the adapter. The adapter snaps onto the nipple-retaining cap and uses the liner of the nurser itself to form a valve. In a second embodiment, the adapter is provided with a unitary threaded circular rim to attach directly to the threaded end of the nurser shell. The adapter also includes a trigger for manual actuation of the valve when unmodulated negative pressure is applied to the reservoir.

    Abstract: A device to cover live wells or other holding containers to retain fish and other aquatic animals. The cover has a plurality of flexible, resilient strap-like web members spaced apart in parallel and connected at at least two ends to a border. The cover may be attachable to the side of the container of a live well by various fastening means, such as hook and loop material, adhesive tape or hooks. One embodiment of the live well cover is provided with tubular members filled with foam so that it can float flush with the water in the live well, thereby requiring no attachment means to the live well whatsoever. This device prevents fish from escaping from a live well, yet allows them to be readily retrievable for weighing and cleaning.
