  • Publication number: 20240152467
Abstract: For a given application, increasing the size of a cache is beneficial up to a certain point and the number of hits does not increase significantly with a greater cache size. This disclosure provides a method to determine a miss ratio curve, for a cache having data blocks with a time-to-live. A hashed value of a data block's key address can be used to generate a 2D HLL counter for storing expiry times of the data blocks. The 2D HLL counter can be converted to a 1D array, from which a stack distance can be calculated. A frequency distribution of stack distances can then be converted into a miss ratio curve, from which an appropriate cache size can be selected.

  • Publication number: 20240143468
Abstract: Skyramp reduces or eliminates challenges encountered in testing of cloud native applications by providing an interactive testing product by which users can probe a set of microservices in insolation by mocking dependencies. Skyramp is configured for local integration, performance, and load testing, and works with any language. Skyramp reduces the burden of testing by making it easy to deploy (locally or remotely) any subset of the application or target by automatically mocking in the cluster the necessary dependencies, enabling interaction with targets by triggering any endpoints needed during the testing, and storing functional and performance tests for quick future access/use.

  • Publication number: 20240144526
Abstract: Techniques for generating an aggregated set of features from multiple images generated by a camera are disclosed. A first image generated by the camera is accessed, where the first image was generated at a first time. A first set of features are identified from within the first image. A second image generated by the camera is accessed, where the second image is generated at a subsequent, second time. A second set of features are identified from within the second image. Movement data is obtained. This movement data details a movement of the camera between the first and second times. The movement data is used to reproject a pose embodied in the first image to correspond to a pose embodied in the second image. The embodiments aggregate the two sets of features to generate the aggregated set of features. The aggregated set of features for the camera are then cached.

  • Publication number: 20240144496
Abstract: Techniques for performing image alignment between a first image generated by a first camera and a second image generated by a second camera are disclosed. The image alignment is performed using staggered feature extraction in which a set of features are reused to align the second image with the first image. A first set of features are identified from within the first image, and a second set of features, which were previously detected within the second image, are accessed. The second set of features were previously used at least once to perform a previous image alignment operation. A current image alignment operation is performed by using the first set of features and by reusing the second set of features to align the first image with the second image.

  • Publication number: 20240146546
Abstract: An asymmetric key cryptographic system is used to generate a cryptographic certificate for authenticating a memory module. This certificate is generated based on information, readable by the authenticator (e.g., host system), from at least one device on the memory module that is not read in order to obtain the certificate. For example, the certificate for authenticating a module may be stored in the nonvolatile memory of a serial presence detect device. The certificate itself, however, is based at least in part on information read from at least one other device on the memory module. Examples of this other device include a registering clock driver, DRAM device(s), and/or data buffer device(s). In an embodiment, the information read from a device (e.g., DRAM) may be based on one or more device fingerprint(s) derived from physical variations that occur naturally, and inevitably, during integrated circuit manufacturing.

  • Patent number: 11972307
Abstract: Implementations set forth herein relate to an automated assistant that can be invoked while a user is interfacing with a foreground application in order to retrieve data from one or more different applications, and then provide the retrieved data to the foreground application. A user can invoke the automated assistant while operating the foreground application by providing a spoken utterance, and the automated assistant can select one or more other applications to query based on content of the spoken utterance. Application data collected by the automated assistant from the one or more other applications can then be used to provide an input to the foreground application. In this way, the user can bypass switching between applications in the foreground in order to retrieve data that has been generated by other applications.

  • Patent number: 11971256
Abstract: A guided cold-atom inertial sensor system comprises an atom trap integrated platform, a laser system, a magnetic field system, a control system, and a computing system. The laser system and magnetic field system are adapted to form a magneto-optical trap (MOT) about a suspended waveguide of the atom trap integrated platform made of membrane integrated photonics. After loading cold atoms from a MOT, the photonic atom trap integrated platform generates one-dimensional guided atoms with an evanescent field optical dipole trap (EF-ODT) along the optical waveguide to create guided atomic accelerometers/gyroscopes. Motion of atomic wavepackets in a superposition state is created along the guided atom geometry by way of state-dependent momentum kicks. The light-pulse sequence of guided atom interferometry splits, redirects, and recombines atomic wavepackets, which allows measurement of atom interference fringes sensitive to inertial forces via a probe laser.
