  • Patent number: 11920347
Abstract: A joist assembly system that is structured for dynamic retrieval of components, dynamic and precise positioning and location of retrieved components, assembly of the components to form a joist, and delivery of the assembled joist. The joist assembly system has a plurality of material handling systems, a plurality of welding systems, and a rigging table system. The material handling systems are structured to load and position the components such as chords and webs onto the rigging table. The rigging table in turn supports the chords or webs. Subsequently, the plurality of welding systems weld the webs to the chords to form the joist.

  • Patent number: 11911128
Abstract: A mote includes an optical receiver that wirelessly receives a power and data signal in form of NIR light energy within a patient and converts the NIR light energy to an electrical signal having a supply voltage. A control module supplies the supply voltage to power devices of the mote. A clock generation circuit locks onto a target clock frequency based on the power and data signal and generates clock signals. A data recovery circuit sets parameters of one of the devices based on the power and data signal and a first clock signal. An amplifier amplifies a neuron signal detected via an electrode inserted in tissue of the patient. A chip identifier module, based on a second clock signal, generates a recorded data signal based on a mote chip identifier and the neuron signal. A driver transmits the recorded data signal via a LED or a RF transmitter.

  • Patent number: 10200259
Abstract: The disclosed computer-implemented method for detecting obscure cyclic application-layer message sequences in transport-layer message sequences may include (i) collecting a composite sequence of transport-layer messages that are exchanged between a first computing device and a second computing device over a single long-standing transport-layer connection, (ii) constructing a sequence graph from the composite sequence, (iii) traversing the sequence graph to discover a first obscure cyclic sequence of application-layer messages in the composite sequence, and (iv) performing a security action using a representation of the first obscure cyclic sequence. In some examples, the composite sequence may include the first obscure cyclic sequence and a second obscure cyclic sequence of application-layer messages that were exchanged by the first computing device and the second computing device, and each message in the composite sequence may include a distinguishing feature.

  • Patent number: 10050987
Abstract: Real-time anomaly detection in a network using state transitions. In one embodiment, a method may include identifying a sequence of messages sent between a first network node and a second network node over a network link. The method may further include identifying a sequence of message states for the sequence of messages. The method may also include identifying variable-length candidate patterns in the sequence of message states. The method may further include adding the candidate patterns to a baseline pattern store. The method may also include comparing a real-time sequence of messages to patterns in the baseline pattern store to detect anomalies in the real-time sequence of messages. The method may further include, in response to the detecting of the anomalies, alerting a security action on one or more of the first network node, the second network node, and the network link using the detected anomalies.

  • Patent number: 9638752
Abstract: A measurement circuit and method are provided for measuring a clock node to output node delay of a flip-flop. A main ring oscillator has a plurality of main unit cells arranged in a ring, with each main unit cell comprising a flip-flop and pulse generation circuitry connected to the output node of the flip-flop. The flip-flop is responsive to receipt of an input clock pulse at the clock node to output a data value transition from the output node, and the pulse generation circuitry then generates from the data value transition an input clock pulse for a next main unit cell in the main ring, whereby the main ring oscillator generates a first output signal having a first oscillation period.

  • Patent number: 9635147
Abstract: A protocol for transmitting data from an external device to an electronic device is provided in which the external device transmits a data stream which includes the same data packet repeated multiple times. The data packet has a predetermined length and has a header portion at a predetermined position. A receiver at the electronic device captures a block of data having the predetermined length from the transmitted data stream, and a decoder rotates the captured block of data to place the header portion at the predetermined position within the data packet. This eliminates the need for an accurate jitter-free clock reference at the electronic device. By shifting power consumption and system complexity to the external unit where power is typically not constrained, the energy efficiency of the electronic device can be increased.

  • Patent number: 9490779
Abstract: Synchronisation circuitry 2 comprises a first dynamic circuit stage 4 generating a first stage state signal which is pulse amplified by pulse amplifying circuitry 8 to generate a pulse amplified signal. The pulse amplified signal is supplied to a second dynamic circuit stage 6 where it is used to control generation of a second stage state signal. The pulse amplifying circuitry 8 comprises a chain of serially connected skewed inverters 20, 22. The action of the pulse amplifying circuitry 8 is to reduce the probability of metastability in the output of the second dynamic stage 6.

  • Patent number: 9490744
Abstract: Oscillator regulation circuitry is provided for regulating a frequency of an output signal generated by an oscillator. Oscillator regulation circuitry has frequency sensing circuitry for sensing the frequency of the output signal and generating a first signal depending on the frequency, and control circuitry which generates the oscillator control signal based on the comparison between the first signal and a non-oscillating reference signal. The frequency sensing circuitry includes at least one switched capacitor. This approach provides improved noise reduction, less sensitivity to process, temperature and voltage variations, and a more linear scaling of the frequency with the reference signal, compared to previous techniques.

  • Patent number: 9429627
Abstract: An electronic device has an energy storage device and circuitry supplied with a storage device voltage from the energy storage device. A supervisor circuit enables the circuitry in response to the storage device exceeding an enable threshold voltage.
