  • Publication number: 20240162381
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to techniques for providing and fabricating a 3D shaped cover structure for a light emitting diode (LED) package that has improved light emission efficiencies and color over angle emissions over flat cover structures. The cover structure can form a hemispherical dome over an LED chip, so that light incident on the inside surface of the dome will be at a more acute angle which can reduce the internal reflection of light emitted by the LED chip. The cover structure can also serve as a remote phosphor lumiphore, thereby improving color over angle emission and reduce the need for an additional adhesion interface on the LED. The cover structure can be shaped during a green sheet lamination and sintering process to create the 3D shape. In other embodiments, a structure can be machined into a desired shape.

  • Publication number: 20240112209
Abstract: Systems and methods for model evaluation. A protected class model that satisfies an accuracy threshold is built by using: data sets for use by a modeling system being evaluated, and protected class membership information for each data set. A target for the protected class model is a protected class membership variable indicating membership in a protected class. Each predictor of the protected class model is a predictor of an evaluated model used by the modeling system. A target of the evaluated model is different from the target of the protected class model. Each predictor is a set of one or more variables of the data sets. For each predictor of the protected class model, a protected class model impact ranking value and a modeling system impact ranking value are determined.

  • Publication number: 20240070487
Abstract: Systems and methods for generating and processing modeling workflows are disclosed. In some examples, a reference distribution of scores generated by a model is determined. The reference distribution of scores is recorded in a structured database. One or more unexpected scores are detected during execution of the model. To detect the one or more unexpected scores, a production distribution of scores is compared with the reference distribution of scores recorded in the structured database. The production distribution of scores is generated by the model for a production input data set. An alert is then provided to an external system, when an alert condition is determined to be satisfied based on the comparison. The alert indicates detection of the one or more unexpected scores.

  • Patent number: 11603204
Abstract: An unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) can deliver a package to a delivery destination. Packages delivered by a UAV may be lowered towards the ground while the UAV continues to fly rather than the UAV landing on the ground and releasing the package. Packages may sway during lowering as a result of wind or movement of the UAV. By modulating a rate of descent of a package, a package sway may mitigated. The lowering mechanism includes wrapping a tether in various directions around the package such that the package rotates in a first and second direction as the package descends. Additionally, a rip-strip lowering mechanism that separates under tension to lower the package and a rappel mechanism that slides the package down a tether may be used. Accordingly, the tether can control a descent of the package assembly.

  • Patent number: 11542001
Abstract: Components of a device may transmit signals between one another using piezo electric transducers (PETs). In a basic system, a first PET may be coupled to and/or in contact with a first location on a member. A second PET may be coupled to and/or in contact with a second location on the member and separated from the first PET by a distance. The first PET may receive a signal (e.g., an electrical voltage) and convert the signal to a mechanical force/stress causing vibration of the member. The vibration may propagate through the member to other locations about the member. The second PET receive the vibration and may convert the vibration back to the signal, such as by converting mechanical force/stress to the electrical voltage (i.e., the signal). A similar process may be performed in reverse to enable the first and second PET to provide two-way communication.

  • Publication number: 20220339751
Abstract: Processes and devices by which a brittle material substrate may be edge formed and finished to simultaneously remove corresponding damage remaining on the edges in the areas formed by cutting and separation while imposing a desired edge profile and achieving a desired mechanical edge strength. Processes of the present disclosure may include a chemical and mechanical brush polishing process configured to shape and/or polish a surface of one or more thin substrates. A plurality of substrates may be arranged in a stacked configuration, and engineered interposer devices may be arranged between the stacked substrates. The interposers may provide between the substrates and may direct filament placement during brushing so as to guide material removal on the substrate edges. Substrate edge profile shapes, including symmetric and asymmetric profiles, may be formed by strategic manipulation of interposer properties including dimensions, mechanical features, material properties, and positioning.

  • Patent number: 11407511
Abstract: An unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) can deliver a package to a delivery destination. Packages delivered by a UAV may be lowered towards the ground while the UAV continues to fly rather than the UAV landing on the ground and releasing the package. Packages may sway during lowering as a result of wind or movement of the UAV. A package sway may be monitored and mitigated by rapidly paying out a tether, when using a winch mechanism, to dissipate the energy of the sway as downward energy. Further, the UAV may navigate in the direction of the sway or reduce the altitude of the UAV to dissipate the energy of the sway. Open-loop and/or closed loop drop techniques may be utilized to lower a package from the UAV, and the package may be released in the air or on the ground.

  • Patent number: 11370531
Abstract: A configurable unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) may include swappable components that may be selectable to configure a customized UAV just prior to deployment of the UAV that is configured to deliver a package to a destination. The UAV may include a plurality of ports that may accept swappable components. The ports may be coupled to a logic board to enable control of the swappable components. The ports and swappable components may enable quick replacement of a malfunctioning components, such as an image sensor, which may avoid subjecting a UAV to significant downtime for service. The malfunctioning component may then be serviced after the UAV is readied for a subsequent flight or deployed on a subsequent flight.

  • Publication number: 20220166793
Abstract: Techniques for polluting phishing campaign responses with content that includes fake sensitive information of a type that is being sought in phishing messages. Embodiments disclosed herein identify phishing messages that are designed to fraudulently obtain sensitive information. Rather than simply quarantining these phishing messages from users' accounts to prevent users from providing “real” sensitive information, embodiments disclosed herein analyze these phishing messages to determine what type(s) of information is being sought and then respond to these phishing messages with “fake” sensitive information of these type(s). For example, if a phishing message is seeking sensitive credit card and/or banking account information, some fake information of this type(s) may be generated and sent in response to the phishing message. In various implementations, a natural language processing (NLP) model may be used to analyze the phishing message and/or generate a response thereto.

Abstract: A connection of a piston-cylinder unit of an power brake pressure generator of an electrohydraulic power vehicle braking system to an unpressurized brake fluid reservoir with the aid of a pressure limiting valve and a controllable valve. The pressure limiting valve prevents pressure spikes in the vehicle braking system if inlet valves of hydraulic wheel brakes of the vehicle braking system are closed during a pressure buildup with the aid of the power brake pressure generator. Brake fluid may be drawn in or discharged from the brake fluid reservoir via the controllable valve during a slip control.
