    Abstract: The invention relates to an intertwined multilayer primer/fluoropolymer coating on the glass substrate. The final coating has excellent wet adhesion to glass, good weathering, durability, chalking resistance, chemical resistance, and dirt pickup resistance. The coating is an environmentally friendly aqueous, fluoropolymer coating composition. The coating process involves applying a polyurethane primer to the glass substrate, and partially, but not completely crosslinking this primer coating. An aqueous hydroxyl-functional fluoropolymer coating is then applied to the partially cross-linked primer coating, and the coating allowed to fully cure. The invention also relates to the intertwined multilayer primer/fluoropolymer coating on the glass substrate. The final coating has excellent wet adhesion to glass, good weathering, durability, chalking resistance, chemical resistance, and dirt pickup resistance.

    Abstract: Compositions and methods are provided for a live, attenuated influenza vaccine suitable for nasal administration. The vaccine utilizes a cold adapted influenza virus that lacks virulence factor, and includes mutations that provide replicative ability sufficient for vaccine manufacture. Vaccines so produced provide significant cross protection for non-vaccinating strains. The vaccine is safe for children under the age of 2 and adults over 49 years of age. In addition, the cold adapted, virulence factor deleted influenza virus can be adapted to provide immunity to non-influenza pathogens.

    Abstract: The invention relates to a high shear stable aqueous fluoropolymer coating composition, preferably using polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF), such as KYNAR® PVDF, suitable for high performance coating applications. The composition is based on a high shear stable fluoropolymer emulsion having small particle size, blended with an acrylic polymer additive. The use of this composition allows high bake PVDF water-base coatings which can be applied on variety of substrates such as metal or ceramic surfaces, and in the impregnation of textiles, glass, carbon or aramid fibers, etc. The dry coating formed from the coating composition of the invention exhibits improved gloss, crack resistance, chemical resistance, hot dirt pick up resistance and other improved properties.
