  • Publication number: 20040090382
Abstract: A surface mount antenna includes a conductive film provided on four continuous surfaces, that is, a front end surface, a top surface, a rear end surface, and a bottom surface, of a dielectric substrate. A plurality of slits is formed in the conductive film so as to divide the conductive film into a plurality of conductive film parts. At least one of the divided conductive film parts functions as a radiation electrode. Sides of one of the slits, that is, the slit forming an open end of the radiation electrode, are formed by a dicer. The position of the open end of the radiation electrode affects the resonance frequency of the radiation electrode. Since the dicer can cut with high precision, the open end can be provided substantially at a desired position, whereby the radiation electrode can generate a substantially the desired resonance frequency.

  • Patent number: 6631552
Abstract: An electronic component mounting apparatus uses sensors and a controller to correct the position at which a component holder, generally a suction nozzle, captures a component, thus avoiding component capture errors and failures. More specifically, sensors detect a deviation amount between a predetermined location on a component absorbed by a suction nozzle and the suction position of the suction nozzle. The deviation amount is multiplied by a sensitivity coefficient, and the resulting adjusted deviation amount is then applied by the controller to correct the position of the suction nozzle when capturing a subsequent component. Accordingly, the subsequent component is absorbed by the suction nozzle normal to the component and at a position substantially centered with respect to the component, reducing the occurrence of suction errors.

  • Patent number: 6505798
Abstract: A circular-plate holder is disposed at an end of a cylindrical portion arranged in a tripod head. A pair of arc lever tumblers, which is capable of contacting the inner surface of the cylindrical portion, is rotatably supported on the holder around a rotation axis. The ends of the arc lever tumblers are close to each other. A rotator, which has a gear portion at a tip end, is rotatably supported on the holder around a rotation axis disposed between the other ends of the lever tumblers. Each of the tumblers is connected to the rotator by a pair of linkage means. The gear portion of the rotator engages a gear portion of a torque-adjusting shaft, which extends through a central portion of the holder and rotates according to rotational operation of an adjusting knob.

  • Patent number: 6501764
Abstract: A method of transmitting a large amount of data with priority for use with a CSMA/CD system includes the steps of checking to see if a transmission line has a free space in response to a data transmission request from a node serving as a source node, transmitting, if the transmission line has a free space, a priority transmission notice carried by a data-link-layer protocol signal of the CSMA/CD system from the source node to the other nodes, transmitting data for which the data transmission request has been made from the source node to a node serving as a destination node, and putting the nodes except the source node in a transmission-disabled, reception-enabled state when the priority transmission notice is received by the nodes. Also provided is an apparatus for achieving such a method.

  • Publication number: 20020106568
Abstract: The present invention provides: a photosensitive resin composition, which can form uniform coating films having higher coating film strength without causing surface contamination, decrease of evenness of coating films, decrease of film thickness, and coloring by decomposition in heat treatment of subsequent steps, and has good sensitivity of exposure. The photosensitive resin composition comprises a lactone-ring-containing polymer (A) as an essential component, wherein: the lactone-ring-containing polymer (A) is obtained by carrying out polymerization of comonomers and lactonization at the same time wherein the comonomers include a 2-(hydroxyalkyl)acrylate ester and an acidic-group-containing monomer; and the lactone-ring-containing polymer (A) is obtained by almost quantitatively carrying out lactonization of a 2-(hydroxyalkyl)acrylate ester structural unit.

  • Publication number: 20020097683
Abstract: In an ATM switch, upon the occurrence of a line fault, an SNMP agent of an ATM switch on a called side detects a line fault and notifies the line fault to a calling side by a trap signal. An SNMP agent having an SNMP manager function of an ATM switch on the calling side receives the trap signal. A line manager specifies a line on which a fault has occurred based on line fault information of the trap signal and switches over to a predetermined alternate line. Also, the ATM switch has a PNNI interface mounted thereon and notifies a PNNI line fault to the calling side by the trap signal.

  • Publication number: 20020056188
Abstract: The present invention is to avoid an occurrence of an suction error caused by a deviation with respect to a component of an suction nozzle, namely, an accident of a failure in capturing a component. A deviation amount is detected between a center of a component absorbed by an suction nozzle and an suction position of the suction nozzle. Also, a value in which this deviation amount is multiplied by a sensitivity coefficient is added as a positional correction at a next time of suction by the suction nozzle. Accordingly, when the suction nozzle absorbs the component at the next time, the suction nozzle normally absorbs the component at the position substantially corresponding to the center.

  • Patent number: 6153712
Abstract: In manufacturing a thermoplastic copolymer by copolymerizing an aromatic vinyl monomer, a vinyl cyanide monomer, and, when necessary, a vinyl monomer (a) copolymerizable with the above two monomers, at least a part or all of the vinyl cyanide monomer is put in a reactor and copolymerizing reaction is started, and a weight of an unreacted portion of the aromatic vinyl monomer is caused to become greater than a weight of an unreacted portion of the vinyl cyanide monomer when all the monomer components are put in the reactor. By doing so, a ratio of the vinyl cyanide monomer in a structural unit of a thermoplastic copolymer produced at latter stages of the copolymerizing reaction is lowered. Thus, the present invention is capable of providing a thermoplastic copolymer which has excellent physical properties such as good heat resistance and good mechanical strength and is hard to discolor, as well as a manufacturing method thereof.
