  • Patent number: 11046196
Abstract: A charge port covering assembly includes, among other things, doors moveable between a covering position where the doors block access to a charge port, and an accessing position where the doors permit access to the charge port. A door release assembly includes a portion that tilts in response to movement of a charger toward an engaged position with the charge port to permit movement of the doors to the accessing position. A charge port covering method includes, among other things, blocking access to a charge port using a doors in a covering position, and tilting a portion of a door release assembly with a charger. The tilting permits a transitioning of the doors from the covering position to an accessing position where the charger can couple with the charge port.

  • Publication number: 20210045641
Abstract: A patient monitoring system to help manage a patient that is at risk of falling is disclosed. The system includes a patient-worn wireless sensor that senses the patient's motion and wirelessly transmits information indicative of the sensed motion to a patient monitor. The patient monitor receives, stores, and processes the transmitted information to determine whether the patient has fallen or is about to fall. Upon such detection, the system can notify the patient's caretakers that the patient has fallen or is about to fall and therefore, is in need of immediate attention.

  • Publication number: 20210022628
Abstract: Various patient monitoring systems, devices, and methods are disclosed for monitoring physiological parameters of a patient. A noninvasive blood pressure monitor can include an inflatable cuff, a pressure transducer, an air pump, and a plurality of air paths connecting the inflatable cuff, the pressure transducer, and the air pump. The monitor can also include an acoustic filter provided along at least one of the air paths. In some cases, the monitor can include first and second air pumps, as well as a processor to independently control operating characteristics of the air pumps. The processor can also control the air pumps so as to provide a first inflation rate for the inflatable cuff during a non-measurement portion of an inflation phase and a second, higher inflation rate during a measurement portion of the inflation phase.

  • Publication number: 20200113488
Abstract: A patient monitor for monitoring a patient's orientation to reduce a risk of the patient developing a pressure ulcer can include one or more hardware processors that can receive and process data from a sensor to determine the patient's orientation. The one or more hardware processors can maintain a plurality of timers associated with available orientations of the patient. Each of the plurality of timers can account for a non-consecutive duration said patient is in an associated available orientation. The non-consecutive duration can vary depending on whether a patient is in the available orientation. The patient monitor can include a structured display including an orientation trend and a patient representation illustrating a current orientation of the patient. The orientation trend can include a heat map that graphically illustrates said non-consecutive durations of the patient in the available orientations and/or an orientation graph that displays the patient' orientation history.

  • Patent number: 10232703
Abstract: A system for reducing fuel slosh noise in a storage tank is described. In one particular example, the system comprises a slatted baffle with angularly arranged louvers extending therefrom to reduce sloshing noise in the tank by redirecting fuel waves while preventing surface wave collisions in the tank. In this way, the louvered baffle has the ability to provide different fuel flows based on the direction of flow incident on the slatted baffle, which may enhance the driving experience, particularly in hybrid and start-stop vehicles, where periods exist in the drive cycle where background engine noise is absent.

  • Patent number: 9978121
Abstract: A method for sharpening of an image. The method combines edge sharpening and noise reduction on image and video data to eliminated artifacts, thereby creating natural looking output images and video without increased noise. The algorithm uses one dimensional look-up tables not requiring complex spatial frequency processing of input image and video data. The look-up tables reduce differences for small input differences which are likely noise, increase differences for mid-level input differences to increase edge slope and sharpness, and maintain high-level input differences to maintain sharp edges without noise increase on those edges that are already sharp. A device for sharpening an image is also disclosed, comprising of a processor in communication with a non-transitory computer readable medium storing the sharpening algorithm communicable to and executable by the processor.

  • Patent number: 9967319
Abstract: Examples of the present disclosure describe security context enforcement in a multi-tenant environment. Security context data may be transmitted through an un-secure multi-tenant computational environment. The security context data is secured by protection layers that restrict untrusted resources from running tenant applications and restrict the ability of unauthorized tenants to access context information associated with a tenant. Data may be received and evaluated at a component of a multi-tenant environment. If the component is a trusted component and the security context data indicates that the tenant is authorized to execute an application using a specified context, the component may run a tenant application in a context associated with the security context data.
