  • Publication number: 20110080597
Abstract: There is disclosed an image processing apparatus and a control method thereof in which input image data and generates a plurality of tile images, each including a substance region and overlap regions each of which overlaps with a part of each adjacent tile image, by dividing the input image data. The apparatus executes image processing separately on each of the plurality of the generated tile images, and when generating each tile image, converts a resolution of image data in the overlap regions such that the resolution of the image data in the overlap regions is smaller than a resolution of image data in the substance region.

  • Patent number: 7761004
Abstract: A fully charged battery or an unused battery is set in a battery box of a lighting apparatus. A user turns on an illumination electric source of the apparatus and selects the battery. A maximum number of lighting times Smax when the lighting apparatus causes manual full lighting M1/1 by using the selected battery is stored in a memory of a microcomputer or IC by a user according to an operating button or an instruction on a liquid crystal screen. Next, the user performs normal shooting. A lighting amount (TTL lighting, manual full lighting, or the like) when the user performs shooting is converted to manual full lighting M1/1 to be obtained as a number of lighting times. By comparing the obtained number of lighting times with the maximum number of lighting times Smax, how many times of lighting can still be performed at a maximum is calculated.

  • Patent number: 7679769
Abstract: A data receiving system which enables, even when the location of a recipient is changed, a sender to always send data to the same transmission destination, and the recipient to obtain received data from a nearest output terminal apparatus. A server as the data receiving apparatus receives data addressed to an IP address, as received data through the Internet. A multi-function peripheral as an output terminal apparatus receives the received data from the server and outputs the same. In this case, the server selects the multi-function peripheral from registered multi-function peripherals based on the IP address to which the received data is addressed, and relationship map information, and then transfers the received data to the selected multi-function peripheral.

  • Publication number: 20100017805
Abstract: When a plurality of jobs are processed using a plurality of data processing units, data formats of the jobs to be processed can be determined to distribute a data processing load of the data processing units. A method for controlling a data processing apparatus for causing a plurality of data processing units to process data of a job includes storing data of a first job in a storing unit in first and second data formats, determining whether to process the stored data of the first job in the first or second data format, and causing the plurality of data processing units to process the data in the determined data format. The determination is made based on whether processing of data of a second job by the first or second processing unit requires longer time.

  • Patent number: 7626741
Abstract: Recent copying machines have higher image quality, and the halftone processing methods are diversifying. If automatic tone correction is applied in correspondence with the diversified halftone processing methods, a long operation time is required. Hence, a sample chart based on the sample data is formed by a printer. A reader acquires image data of the sample chart, and the tone correction characteristics of a density correction unit corresponding to the image processing are updated based on the image data of the sample chart. In this case, generation of sample charts and updating of the tone correction characteristics are controlled in accordance with a user instruction as to whether or not to execute batch update processing of the tone correction characteristics of the density correction unit corresponding to the plurality of halftone processing methods.

  • Publication number: 20090067003
Abstract: An image processing system and a control method thereof are provided, which presents an appropriate image format for the image data to be stored. To accomplish this, in an image processing system comprising a plurality of image forming apparatuses and storage apparatuses, the image forming apparatuses each decide priority scores indicating priority order of each image format from the image processing information that indicates image formats of image data supported at each image forming apparatus. Further, the image forming apparatuses show the priority order based on the decided priority scores, and at the same time generates a selection screen for the user to select the image format of the image data and display it on the display apparatus provided in the image forming apparatus.
