  • Publication number: 20170335357
Abstract: A novel process for the preparation of L-threo-dihydroxyphenylserine (Droxidopa) is described. It comprises of enantioselective hydrolysis of racemic (DL)-threo-N-acetyl-3-(3,4-methylenedioxyphenyl)-serine using commercially available L-amino acylase from Aspergillus sp. (EC 3.5.1.14) in the presence of cobalt ions, to obtain (L)-threo-3-(3,4-methylenedioxyphenyl)-serine followed by dealkylation to obtain Droxidopa. Protecting the amino group of (L)-threo-3-(3,4-methylenedioxyphenyl)-serine using either benzyloxycarbonyl or phthaloyl group before dealkylation followed by deprotection of the amino group results in obtaining Droxidopa in high yields and purity.

  • Patent number: 9736046
Abstract: A system and method are provided to model a network path with performance characterization for individual path segments of the network path and correlate the faults and performance issues to identify the factors that are causing network path performance degradation. The system described herein provides for codebook correlation technology to identify the root cause of network path performance degradation. In an embodiment, an algorithm is provided to model the network path with performance characterization and analysis. The performance of a network path is determined by performance characteristics of individual hops along the network path. The path performance is then characterized with weighted attributes indicative of performance over individual hops along the network path. The individual hops along the network path are modeled with weighted attributes indicative of performance. The performance symptoms may be aggregated to determine path performance using codebook correlation to perform a causal analysis.

  • Patent number: 9286997
Abstract: An encoded ROM array structure couples a first one of a first set of bitlines to a second one of a second set of bitlines through a transistor when the wordline connected to the gate terminal of that transistor is asserted. This encoded arrangement can be extended to any number of encoded bitlines, e.g., 2, 4, 8, 16, and so on. Each of the first plurality and second sets of bit lines are coupled to circuits for charging and discharging the bitlines. • Patent number: 9060178
Abstract: A player decodes and renders encoded digital data received from an encoder. During processing, the player periodically monitors dropped frames as well as time spent. If the dropped frames are below a minimum, the player determines to signal the encoder to increase bit rate or frame rate by consulting a table. If the player determines to increase bit rate, the player signals accordingly. However, if the player determines to increase frame rate, the player first verifies that the spent time is below a minimum. To the contrary, if the dropped frames are both above the minimum and a first maximum but not a second maximum, the player determines to signal the encoder to decrease bit rate or frame rate by consulting the table and signaling accordingly. However, if the dropped frames are above the second maximum, the player signals the encoder to decrease the frame rate without consulting the table.
